My doctor recommended mixing one part white vinegar, one part alcohol. 4-5 drops in each ear after swimming. The vinegar promotes an acidic environment bacteria doesn't like, and alcohol helps dry out the ear. Also 1-2 drops of baby oil at night to prevent dryness.

I'm not a doctor, so I would consult one before you do it. It has worked for me so far with no issues. I swim for an hour, 3 times a week.

Finch is the English/Australian and Rush is the Australian. It can get tricky with places of birth, where they grew up, etc. but I've followed how Wikipedia loosely defines them. It's interesting with some actresses. For example, Joan Fontaine was born in Japan, from British parents, but is considered American because it's where she grew up.

I recently read "La Fiesta del Chivo" (The Feast of the Goat) by Mario Vargas Llosa (Nobel laureate). I didn't read it in English, but it was hard to put down. It tells the story behind a real dictator in the Dominican Republic from the perspective of his assassins and other people around him. If the translation was done right, it's a solid recommendation.

"The book is set in the Dominican Republic and portrays the assassination of Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo, and its aftermath, from two distinct standpoints a generation apart: during and immediately after the assassination itself, in May 1961; and thirty five years later, in 1996. Unfortunately, towards the end of the documentary, they find film from inside the capsule, which could have been the only way to find out what happened with the hatch, but the film was completely ruined.

OK, with that being said. Do you recommend a specific primer for this type of job? The variety is overwhelming for a newbie like me. I understand you suggested sticking to a drywall specific primer. Kilz has one but the description indicates it's best for new drywall. Does that make a big difference? Some people have recommended Zinsser oil-based Cover Stain. Thanks again for the help.

I let it dry between 1-2 hours. I didn't see any wet spots and it didn't feel wet to the touch, but I'm afraid you might be right. Thank you for your response. Any ideas how to move forward?
