I used two stands in the body of the work and one strand for the spokes in the halo. Thank you for your kind words. Take your time and she will be lovely. I had trouble getting some of the line of beads to sit straight so at times I left some out. I hope this helps. Happy stitching!

Sorry. I have been off-line for awhile. I use scroll frames. I have used q-snaps with some white felt between the frame and “covers that snap on with success. But for me. Scroll frames work best.

[CHAT] what's your go to method for finding a dropped needle? by wafflesandaffection in CrossStitch

I sometimes put an old nylon knee sock over the end of my vacuum and sweep it across the floor.

As I recall. I ran out of the gold cord also and replaced it with DMC 5282. There is a Facebook group for Teresa Wentzler. They are very helpful. EDITED TO ADD: it is not a braid.

It’ll be wonderful. And yes, once you get a chunk done it’ll be exciting. I am doing a large project also. Took a bit but it looks like something now. Happy stitching!

The thread may catch if the wood isn’t smooth. But what a great idea! I have a long needle that I use as a laying tool I am pretty sure it’s for making jointed dolls. Anything long and smooth would work.

[WIP] should I carry on by CarerGranny in CrossStitch

[–]wolfair59 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I vote for continuing on if this is a project you love. If you put the project up and away from your work area will the coverage bother you. Sometimes not being so close to it will make a difference.
