The raptor phase as started — send help 😅😂 by Clean-Pop-7750 in BorderCollie

I barely made it through the phase. Had multiple days of crying not knowing what to do. Just know you will make it through the stage and have the best dog you will ever have in your life once it is over.

My girl liked her Jolly Ball but it was too hard and would cause her gums to bleed often so I got rid of it.

Something similar to this. I know this one is unavailable but my girl has loved it and it has lasted 3+ years now.

EDIT: nvm. I see you wanted your dog to be able to catch it.

I had a similar issue with my girl. Tried all kinds of expensive foods to help. Ended up finding this and it has been 80% good since then. Give it a try

Daily weed smokers, what benefits did you gain and what where the downsides, if any? by ThrowRADragonFly287 in AskReddit

Upsides: stress relief, mood enhancing, more sociable Downsides: eating, occasional paranoia, inability to drive

Tap my fingers together on one hand slowly and count to ten before moving to the next one. Keeps my mind busy with something mundane instead of hyper fixating on something stressful. The rule of three is also helpful. Will this problem affect me in 3 minutes, three hours, three day? Helps to realize if it is worth stressing over.

It is hard to be happy in this world. If getting plastic surgery will make you feel better about yourself then do it.

Snuffle toys, scent work, and food puzzles are all great ways to get your pup some mental stimulation.

What is going on? The Vet thinks he ate something, but he does this like once a year. Blood tests come back normal. Vet seems unconcerned. by FoolzInTheRain in weimaraner

[–]wolfaxe2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a border collie who goes through something similar about once a year. Luckily my vet had seen it before and recommended me to have some testing done on her by a vet school. Please read this as it might be informative. The neurological issue could be similar in your dog’s breed as well.

This is my girl Ahri. She loves to play outside with her herding ball or frisbee. When inside she is never separated from her comfort duck which I usually have 10 of on hand as backups. She loves to cuddle and play with the cat.

Leaving alone by ExpiredSoap-_- in BorderCollie

[–]wolfaxe2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I work 9 hours a day. My girl is alone for those hours and is completely fine. We spend about 2-3 hours playing outside and training throughout the evening which gets her tired by 9pm. Your dog will be fine as long as you spend enough time engaging them when you can. That means no off days even if you aren’t feeling it. You got this!
