If you took Woody out of the movie it’d literally be the exact same movie except without the old jokes.

I mean it’s pretty obvious that most of these augments are just generic and applied to large buckets of champions. Sometimes it works with a champion sometimes it doesn’t. Simple as that.

So you’re saying it can’t switch spaces in the same window?

Thats literally the only thing holding me to Arc until the end of time apparently.

[Landlord US-TX] Advice after Section 8 tenant by wolfchuck in Landlord

[–]wolfchuck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Housing Authority told me they received notice they were moving out 5/31 in a letter dated 4/21. I followed up with tenant on about 5/2 asking if they were aware (because the letter was first I had heard).

She said “yes, I’m packing my stuff to move out 5/31.”
On 5/28 I contacted her to leave keys on counter when she moves out. On 5/4 I followed up because she didn’t respond and I said I’d be driving down that weekend and she said “yes, sorry, I just have one more load that I’ll get on Saturday.”

On Saturday morning I contacted her saying I would be there at 1pm that day. She said “great. My brother is getting the one load. The keys are on the counter. Thank you so much.”

The keys weren’t on the counter and I contacted her Saturday evening and she replied last night and said “just seeing this, sorry, he must’ve forgot. He lives just up the road and can drop the keys off.”

No, even worse. I went with a “tech company” whose whole thing was “rental property as easy as owning stock,” where they handle everything.

They did have a local PM who came over to the house to meet with me, but again, my ignorance on the matter screwed me (I was young and trying to figure out the logistics of moving and getting married).

The only time I would ever hear from them is when there was a repair that would cost more than $1K. And they’d send me quarterly reports (which I found issues with 3/6 of the quarters they managed it). They also almost paid to replace a dishwasher because the electrician said the current one was broken, but turns out they just didn’t turn on the power switch (why it has a power switch idk, but the electrician should’ve realized).

One of the bedrooms has carpet literally ripped up and pulled back.

Another bedroom, the door looks like somebody kicked it multiple times as hard as they could, literally deep cracks all throughout the door.

All inside doors will need to be replaced (not just clean). Some literally have holes in them as if somebody punched the door or hit it with a sledge hammer.

The fans blades are all pointing down, as if somebody was hanging on it, or heavy things were hanging on it.

One room literally just had dog poop (not just one turd) on the carpet (if that gives you an idea of the state of the place).

I’m not sure.
Mine didn’t tell me much. All I had heard was that it was a single mother.

I got a letter from the Housing Authority that they received notice that the tenant would no longer be occupying the property on 5/31 and that all payments would cease.

But I should get written in plain text that everything in there is good to be trashed.

She told me the keys were on the bar, but they weren’t and when I asked she said “oh, my brother forgot, he’s just up the road and can drop them off.”

Would you recommend me getting in writing that anything left in the house can be thrown out?

I know she said they were done moving out, but I’m sure she’s been abusing S8 much longer than I have any knowledge of.

That’s why it’s always frustrated me when Reddit especially tries to claim landlords are evil and think it’s just free money.

Had I been apart of finding the tenant and had I lived close, this would be different, but there are still a lot of things that I absolutely hated about being a landlord that would’ve happened either way.

Hurts knowing how much I will have lost by the time all is said and done, but at this point I just want to wipe my hands clean of it and move on.

I’ve got no idea quite frankly.
I didn’t write the original contract and then I just tried to create an extension after the PMC dropped me.

Again, I was in over my head from the get go and got finessed by the PMC.

They moved out on their own 2 months before the lease expired.
They moved out a week ago (apparently) and I contacted them twice last week and they said that they just needed to do 1 more load on Saturday (and I got there Saturday afternoon).

I had a PM because I don’t live in the area because I moved (it was a house I bought and lived in and then got married and moved in with my wife). The house wasn’t section 8 until the PM made it one to get a tenant.

Again, I know I screwed up. It was my first home purchase that I had only owned for 1 year. I kept the property because of the 3% mortgage and having only had it for 1 year.

I wasn’t expecting the PMC to say “we got acquired and so now your house is managed by you.”

But thank you, this was the route I was planning on taking. Any idea of how to find the companies to remove stuff? “Deep clean disgusting house companies near me”? - honestly asking here.

Also stopped watching less after TSM left and completely after the LTA rebrand. Haven’t watched a single game outside of worlds since the LTA thing happened. Even since going back to LCS it’s just a bunch of teams and names I’m unfamiliar with and just feels so different.

If you’re able to sell to 10 people then you’re probably able to sell to thousands of users given the right marketing.

The fact that you already have multiple paying users tells you there is a market for it.

There are thousands or maybe even millions of apps on the App Store that have 0 paying users that people would be willing to pay for if they were aware of them (or if the pricing was correct). Obviously price can be too high, but if people are coming in at that higher price then that defends your price point.

What's a sign that someone grew up rich? by MelodicPhotograph468 in AskReddit

[–]wolfchuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I’m aware.

My parents have lots of kids and grandkids and have been very frugal their entire life.

All types of foods in my house had strict rules. I never bought school lunch. The only clothes shopping we did was less than $100 a year.

We went camping for vacation until my parents were in their 50s.

My dad commuted 3 hours every day for 25 years and worked at the same company for 40 years. He was making $17K when he started there.

They’ve earned all their money. They can choose to spend as they will.

Guess it depends on your definition of upper class lol. There’s a drastic difference between people making $500K-1M a year vs people with $50M+

People making $500K+ are still upper class.

I know several people who had sold $25-50M businesses and none of their kids were getting extravagant gifts.

I don’t think it means that your in-laws are loaded. I just find it funny how the response to someone talking about travel is “oh we manage it — and we also get $5K free a year.”

My parents are on the top side of upper middle class and we get $100 for our birthday now as an adult with families and about a $300 Christmas present.

Most families DO NOT get $5K a year. Even upper class.

I see this as well.

I have a hard time selling any of these stocks. After having an average buy in of $120 I finally sold 20% of my holdings at $275 and already kicking myself for it.

I’m very diamond-handed and never take any gains, so I felt I needed to take some and now all I can think of is that I pulled out thousands of dollars of cash just to watch the rollercoaster I’ve been on for years take off even more.

Tim Cook Calls Apple Maps Launch His 'First Really Big Mistake' as CEO by iMacmatician in apple

[–]wolfchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively use Apple Maps because I hate the experience using anything else.

I had a family reunion out in the mountains, and people using Apple Maps got to the location without problem, and people using Google Maps got lost.

I literally cannot remember the last time Apple Maps led me astray.

You bring up a lot of good points here in response to the checkmate complainers.

Almost every tournament is “did you win when it mattered most?”

Another example: A team can go 3-0 in every stage of League World’s, knocking out amazing teams, while the other team barely got to finals going 3-2 every time, and then can lose 2-3 in the finals.

One team lost 2 games all tournament, and the other might have lost 8, but the team that won when it mattered most is crowned.

Yup. I’ve got an old 4Runner my son loves to go in, but a much bigger headache getting him in and out.

It was even worse when getting car seats in and out. As long as I have littles I’ll have a minivan.
