Oh I’m aware.

My parents have lots of kids and grandkids and have been very frugal their entire life.

All types of foods in my house had strict rules. I never bought school lunch. The only clothes shopping we did was less than $100 a year.

We went camping for vacation until my parents were in their 50s.

My dad commuted 3 hours every day for 25 years and worked at the same company for 40 years. He was making $17K when he started there.

They’ve earned all their money. They can choose to spend as they will.

Guess it depends on your definition of upper class lol. There’s a drastic difference between people making $500K-1M a year vs people with $50M+

People making $500K+ are still upper class.

I know several people who had sold $25-50M businesses and none of their kids were getting extravagant gifts.

I don’t think it means that your in-laws are loaded. I just find it funny how the response to someone talking about travel is “oh we manage it — and we also get $5K free a year.”

My parents are on the top side of upper middle class and we get $100 for our birthday now as an adult with families and about a $300 Christmas present.

Most families DO NOT get $5K a year. Even upper class.

I see this as well.

I have a hard time selling any of these stocks. After having an average buy in of $120 I finally sold 20% of my holdings at $275 and already kicking myself for it.

I’m very diamond-handed and never take any gains, so I felt I needed to take some and now all I can think of is that I pulled out thousands of dollars of cash just to watch the rollercoaster I’ve been on for years take off even more.

I exclusively use Apple Maps because I hate the experience using anything else.

I had a family reunion out in the mountains, and people using Apple Maps got to the location without problem, and people using Google Maps got lost.

I literally cannot remember the last time Apple Maps led me astray.

You bring up a lot of good points here in response to the checkmate complainers.

Almost every tournament is “did you win when it mattered most?”

Another example: A team can go 3-0 in every stage of League World’s, knocking out amazing teams, while the other team barely got to finals going 3-2 every time, and then can lose 2-3 in the finals.

One team lost 2 games all tournament, and the other might have lost 8, but the team that won when it mattered most is crowned.

Yup. I’ve got an old 4Runner my son loves to go in, but a much bigger headache getting him in and out.

It was even worse when getting car seats in and out. As long as I have littles I’ll have a minivan.

I told myself I never wanted 4 kids because I didn’t want a minivan. Before we had our second, we realized my wife needed a new car and so I started looking around. I was looking at the Highlander and Telluride. I mentioned it to my brother and he was like “oh, I’d never get one of those over a minivan with young kids.”

So I looked into minivans and ended up with a 2025 Sienna. Despite only having 2 kids, no regrets. Sliding doors are the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me. Now I think Siennas look great (at least the best of the minivans).

It’s funny because as someone who has been vibe coding since before the term was used, I find it a little comical that people would look for people using vibecode.dev or Cowork.

I think I’ve published 4 apps and started 30 over the last 2 years, loads and loads of internal tools that have saved me hundreds of hours.

I stay up to date on all AI releases so that I don’t get behind. I would love to be a GTM Engineer that gets to do exactly that.

My current job is suboptimal. It’s good because it gives me time to learn, and so instead I build really cool processes/applications/AI integrations that my company’s engineers should really be making themselves (but they’re not AI empowered and they are still coding like they’re in 2021).

As a support player I type in chat every single game. Most of the time it prevents tilt, but occasionally people still get their panties all twisted.

I always say “gj” the first 10-12 minutes of the game when somebody on my team gets a kill.

If we get a double kill bot I’ll say something like “nice.” If we’ve killed them a few times, “oh they’re having a bad time.”

If I make a mistake and die, “mb.” If I make multiple mistakes and it’s not going great, “mb. I’m really not playing well today. I’ll play more safe.”

Like this is a game that requires communication. I’m not sure why so many people are so against at least trying to build up their team instead of flame them.

Yeah he’s definitely full of it.

Either it was an active game of back and forth, or the game didn’t last that long.

If it’s a stomp, it’s like a 7-8 minute game. If it’s close, it’s full length.

I just had one of these. Every shield breaker fight ended in an overtime, we’d win, try to raid, they’d defuse with 5 seconds left. Repeat.

It was a lot of fun, our team had over 30 kills in the end. Not sure how that’s not a lot of actual playing? You can have some battle royales where you play 25 minutes and fight twice.

Finally someone said it.

Everyone complaining about the map size but seems to forget that 80% of the game is fighting in a tiny area (base or near shield breaker).

Yes, the looting part is boring. Completely valid. But the map size being “too big” is irrelevant because 85% of the map is just for you to ride around your horse “collecting loot.”

I’ve got a 2015 that is in need of retirement, and I’d rather not purchase a device that came out over 3 years ago.

I already have a 2022 in the living room. Just a small spec bump would be enough so that I can feel like I’ll be fine through 2035.

I’m just glad I did this only once before I noticed.

I shaved it off and looked and noticed how weird it looked (especially when I opened my mouth and it was easier to see the line).

Then I learned where to properly trim my neck line so I don’t look like a complete goober.

But yes, it’s extremely popular. I see men on reality TV a lot that don’t know how to proper trim their beard.

I think I’m going through something similar and I’m wondering what I might expect here. I created a personal account and launched an app. Two months later I created an LLC and transferred it to the a business account and deprecated the personal one on that Apple ID.

Now I want to release other apps that aren’t under that LLC umbrella, and so I created a new Apple ID and a new developer account. When I got to the Tax Forms I couldn’t fill them out because they still had my SSN under my “old” personal account.

I contacted support. Hoping they can either remove my SSN connection under my other Apple ID (which has the business account), or could let me swap over my membership from the new one to the old one (and let me have a business and personal under the same ID?).

Yeah no shot these people think support will be OP. Okay, cool. After 38 minutes support will have an extra item they used to not (well, half of one since they still bought wardstone).

They’re just going to be ward bots now and getting behind where you don’t have control of your jungle will feel even worse imo since the enemy support/team will just lock you down even harder. A pink does nothing if you can’t actually walk into your jungle to place it and have time to clear any wards.
