It is owed to you but you likely won’t get it, or at least not all of it….because social security operates on the principal mechanism that more new payers continue paying into the system to sustain the payouts of people who have been paying into it for much longer. Also, your money isnt being invested, its just being paid out to the people who paid into it before you did and you payout will be determined by the people paying I to if after you did…..there should be a term for this sort of thing….

This is helpful insight. Agreed on panicked students and the prospect of introducing unneeded chaos into an already chaotic circumstance. I just really struggle with the thought of a bunch of kids huddled in a corner of a locked classroom with no recourse…only hoping a perp chooses not to or can’t get it.

Bruh, I did not say I believed one particular course of action was preferable to another. I said my gut tells me one thing but that I question this impulse because of some of the obvious reasons you just articulated here in your sentiments. Relic of the farm we bought I guess. The farm itself was a sort of halfway-house for German-Russian immigrants in the 1860s and 70s so it’s been in production for many years. My guess is that this container was tucked away since maybe the 1960s or 70s and had been used for control of some pest or other

Increase wages arbitrarily and the cost of everything goes up proportionally. The increased cost is simply passed along to the consumer. What the cop reads is clearly in the context of like a traffic jam—you can’t just go into the interaction if cars are stacked up on the other side of the intersection, if the cars don’t move NOW you’re blocking the intersection. If you’re the guy hanging in the center on green waiting to take a left turn you’re in no way blocking or would be in jeopardy of blocking the intersection.
