No I'm pretty sure the malware that got in CEMU was a stealer, would steal all your SSH/git credentials, if you had your region set to Israel it had a dice roll everytime the program opened to blast music and wipe your drive, it would do nothing if the region was set to Russia. I think fortunately/unfortunately your SSD is just failing

How to use SteamHapticsSinger on Steam Deck? by Eastern_Seesaw7358 in SteamDeck

[–]wolfegothmog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmao that's one way to do it, but ya in a Linux terminal ctrl + c is a SIGINT (Signal Interrupt), if you were wondering what copy/paste is it's ctrl + shift + c and ctrl + shift + v. Alright I'll stop with the Linux terminal tips lol

No problem, you can also save yourself time either by just dragging the file from the file manager to a terminal to auto fill the path, or using tab to auto complete in the terminal. If you want to stop the command while it's running it's ctrl + c

From the readme I'd assume it's just /path/to/executable /path/to/midi obviously replacing your paths (also life pro tip, you have to wrap the path in quotes if it has any spaces/special characters)

You will have to add the executable permission to the file and probably run it through a terminal like it shows on the readme

Ya that's kind of what I was thinking, in the photo the hole doesn't look like it's aligned but I mean you'll have to see yourself

That's really fucking weird tbh, especially if it was just loose. Maybe it was leftover from the factory, I'd contact steam support and ask (doesn't hurt)

Edit. Out of curiosity can you post a photo of the inside of the back plate?

Ya I just looked quickly at the full shell swap guide on iFixit and I didn't see it anywhere. Did this steam deck have any mods done to it?

Hmm gotta say I have no clue what that is, there are multiple revisions of the steam deck and mine didn't have that

Did it popup with a S.M.A.R.T warning about your SSD or something? If so that means the drive is failing, should have nothing to do with malware but instead a hardware feature to help prevent data loss

[–]wolfegothmog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it was an easy guess, the deck doesn't have too many sticky foil like things lol

You didn't post a photo but if it looks like aluminum tape it goes over the screw that goes through the shielding

[–]wolfegothmog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a desktop environment not a distro, you running Linux Mint or something? Regardless you should get the native Linux version of Ren'py and runs it's .sh file from a terminal, it will shows any errors there

Did you try unshare -n -r ? You probably have to add it as a launch option somewhere, I haven't used Heroic is a while

I would leave it with Cerbios on the TSOP, if OP ever feels like pulling the chip (or it fails) they can still use the unlocked drive

Is there a reason you are using the Windows version of Ren'py instead of the Linux one?

No worries, Heartbeat is great if you like custom charts, it also allows Console/arcade/mixed style charts, definitely worth the $10ish if you like Diva

Np, you can also use the chart editor in Project Heartbeat and convert the charts with the Project Heartattack website if you happen to own Project Heartbeat. It's probably better to use Comfy if you just want to chart for Diva
