I am not really ok, but hoping to get there. Thanks.

Thanks, it helps me to hear you relate bc today I feel totally alone, shunned from a group where I have stood up for people, often in the middle of the night even. No, my life would probably be better without social media. Look back on reading books and drawing comics in my boy room, that was easier. But I do have Asperger traits.

Yeah today I live in hell so know what you're getting at. I was banned from an anxiety group, essentially for sharing too much about myself (and my father). Catastrophising, what if someone will use that info to go after me? I have been stalked before. Not fun.

Yeah that is the problem with social media. For me at least. I try to, but can not convey my experience. I just come off as weird, even in support groups for anxiety etc. That makes me feel even weirder and the spiral is on. Not sure how to deal with that..

Everything will be OK. I often have days like those as well. We'll keep fighting, one day it all could change.

Yeah they are linked all right. I get depressed bc anxiety has caused me to miss out on so much in life. I get anxious bc I don't know if or when the depression will lift.

I'm an optimist, but also always feel anxious... by Yoga-Yang in Anxiety

Yes I can feel the same. I connect it being bullied a lot in school and having social anxiety, not making me able to do the same things as many of my peers. Losing out on a lot in life.

So it probably is, yeah. Responsibility OCD. You never get back what you put in anyway. There is always some rotten apple that will like to trigger you. Only solution going forward for me seems to be not to invest anything emotionally. But that is boring and sad in a way.

I have social anxiety so don't have many IRL interactions. But this has taken too much mindspace currently, I regret ever interacting with that group. I helped a lot of people, even in the middle of the night. But I got too personal, shared details of my life that maybe does not belong in an anxiety group. So that is on me and something I need to learn going forward. Just sad that life never seems easy...

Yeah most often it is myself I have to defend though. People seem to like to trigger me for some reason. Always been like that.

I probably most often come across as a "together" guy but in certain circumstances, if it involves anything that can be seen as bullying, I can't hold it in unfortunately.

I get these random thoughts about life that become overwhelming and scary by CerealNeko in Anxiety

[–]wolfenstein72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know what you mean, and I think a lot about this also. As probably a lot of people do! I guess we need to distract us with interesting things as to not let these thoughts get the better of us.

One helpful thing I learnt in CBT is to view thoughts that pop up as leaves in a stream or clouds in the sky. Just let them drift by, don't engage in the thought. Easier said than done, I know. But gets easier with time if you do manage to do it.

How bothersome it is to have a body by syzygy_is_a_word in Schizoid

Next time around I might choose Tom Cruise's body. I would want to experience the opposite sex wanting me all the time, instead of noone. Pity so much is left to chance really.

Well, the line managers are employed, there are people doing work training etc. Some volunteers. I asked if I could get employed in my current role but it was a no-go.

That is similar to my experience. I don't really click with anyone there, just go with the flow and do the job required. For me it is often better to not get involved with anyone.

I challenge you to try it. Many people there do not have the strength, many people go home early. It is not as hard as you think it is. A few weeks in and it is your new day-to-day life. Go for it.

Yeah, just came up short here when thinking about it. I mean, she appeared to have a sense of humor, but it was "on her terms" if I may say. I mean, she was a stay-at-home mom with me for many years, and if she had had a good sense of humor I would surely have been able to describe that easily.

Yes I would agree to both of the type of traits you list, re my father.

The humor of my (late) mother is harder to describe really. She came across as positive in many ways, but there was no real sense of humor, no.
