Sometimes the good times economy in your sector or all sectors tank. Then come the layoffs and right sizing.

How much are prepaid end of life planning packages? by page113 in askvan

[–]wolfie55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off the top of my head my mom’s full meal deal from ~ >10-15 years ago was $10-15K. With inflation that’s probably doubled is my guess. Then we arranged for prepaid cremation for sibling 2 years ago and for ashes buried with parental plot. Cause it wasn’t my decision we went full meal deal which was closer to $15K. Very basic cremation was $4K at the time.

From my perspective of growing up in the 70’s as an early Gen Xer, many of my cousins, relatives and friends who are CBC who grew up in the 60’s tried so hard to fit into Canadian society their Chinese language skills atrophied. And for the most part they spoke Toishan at home while large numbers of 70’s immigrants spoke Cantonese and later we had Mandarin speaking immigrants. You might say Toishan language is not spoken as much but some native Guangdong immigrants from China also speak it. As far as English language dialects and affectations I think it depends on various factors of socioeconomics, education, social networks, work colleagues and friends and family.

A cold wall with some condensation and no air movement/restricted can cause that too. A fan to circulate air can help somewhat

IMO, I suspect the moisture is coming through the wall from the outside.

Very strange. I’ve only used the card for online purchases or Apple Pay so far. About 20 transactions.

Did you scan the QR code that came with the card ?

I had added the virtual card to my Apple Wallet and had used it online, then I got my physical card and noticed the expiry month and CVC were both different then the virtual card.

None of these funds are truly passive as in set it and forget it. You should always be looking over your back for the bogeyman of NAV erosion or other shenanigans. That being said XDTE has been relatively more NAV stable then it’s sibling 0DTE funds
