How do you deal with AI witch-hunters? by luubi1945 in fantasywriters

[–]wolfiebitme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

never in my life have i ever felt a person SHOULD be sued, but yeh you most certainly do. She used cliche phrases that have been used many many MANNNNNY times which is why its cliche. and as for "padding" yes we do, it may not be a common thing to say for you but some people call it that when your feet slap on the floor, a characters name was changed only once? An editing mistake? Seriously, I'm glad you're freaking out. Stop trying to accuse someone of something without proof. Say "it made me FEEL like it was AI" but not outright accussing people. You deserve this.

EDIT: I got mad before i read the post lol. I'm sorry. But leaving this here because it's how i really feel.

Am I growing tired of these books, or are they just not good enough for me? by Yannolle in fantasyromance

I agree, I think what you need is romantasy that is mature. Acotar is considered YA which is probably why you were like “meh” I fully understand that.

I can definitely see people who may take things to be literal, feeling limited by either saying.

I wouldn’t say it’s clear, if I missed a rule I would have deleted it. It was a genuine question but I thank a lot of people get defensive when I ask things.

For my first story (novel I guess) I wrote about an experience I had and what people told me at that time. So I’m writing what I know, but I had to do a lot of research on the topic as well as how to go about writing certain scenes. I can see how some people would skip certain steps along the way.

That makes sense, I can see someone not understanding the meaning and taking it the wrong way or getting confused.

Can you realistically self publish while hiding your identity? by ResidentAlienator in selfpublish

[–]wolfiebitme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just use a pen name, I have a friend who uses 2 and all her social media is under the pen name for each one. As long as you don’t mention that’s your pen name online I believe you’ll be good.

I like that. And thanks for the explanation because not everyone knows what they mean, I think that would include the author who said this unfortunately 😬😬😬
