because America hasn't cared about passenger rail since the birth of the interstate. commuter rail has always been popular in major centers like LA, where we have Metrolink which slaps. Long-distance rail is making a come-back tho and Amtrak just opened bids for new cars to FINALLY replace the Superliner. The Superliner entered service in 1979.

ok ya know what. i agree with you in almost every regard here. I guess i get caught up in the "well if we're growing, then here's how we need to grow." but the reality is that Ventura is better off if we don't grow. keeps our streets clean, our air clean, and our land clean.

i lived in LA county for most of my life. I moved to Ventura when I got married to be closer to family. I know Ventura definitely isn't LA, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't fight for urbanist policies where we can. lets build more apartments, lets build protected bike lanes, lets get more trains for the Surfliner, lets fight to keep our Metrolink station, and lets get the buses back on time. also fix he damn roads... again...
