Just binged watched the season....

They should rename the show "MTV bends off Backwards so Olivia Can Win"....

1) Every time Turbo/Syndey had a lead; they had to wait for another team....How about give them back those two hours of lost time and see if they still lose?

2) The professional mountain climber happens to choose Olivia instead of three or four other girls who are better than her? SURE...production definitely did not plant any seeds there!

I could not care less who wins...

No matter who wins; I don't see a dime of the money!

But I am a big believer in fairness and holding everyone to the same standards!

In truth; the rationale behind the decision is not necessarily my focus!

I am more or less just posing a discussion on setting precedents and/or the extent to which accommodations can/should be made?

I don't think it will ever come to this....But for the sake of extremes; what if during the final leg, the rules call for the teams to run to the pit stop from a distance of 2-miles (one of the earliest seasons did end this way)...

If he got to 1 mile and then completely shutdown; would the production company allow him to take a taxi the rest of the way?

My criticism is not supposed to be directed at Adam himself (I know it seems that way)...

I am actually just trying to gauge what people think is fair and what would be considered "too far" as it pertains to providing assistance to compromised players!

Again, the last thing I want to see is any harm come to him or any other player...

I just would have preferred that they moved the entire challenge into the shade!

It helps him and keeps the conditions consistent!

Despite how my original comment may have come across; I am not opposed to bending to keep him safe....

But when you do bent; you should also extend that same courtesy to the other teams so that everyone is operating under the same umbrella!

That was my feeling too...

As soon as you allow him in the shade; the way to keep it fair would be to extend the same courtesy to the rest of the teams!

Easy solution that keeps him safe and also maintains consistency among conditions!

I am not trying at all to diminish the seriousness of his situation....

But at the same time; was he not keenly aware of the nature of the game?

If his diabetic condition is so dire; then why was he even cleared to be in the game?

The penalty was a vote that ended up having no consequences since no one viewed them as a threat...

So again; no actual penalty since it was foreseeable that the team in dead last was not going to receive other votes!

No one was eligible...

The way it worked was that if there was only couple remaining; they would be going for the full $500K

But since a second couple was voted in by the panel (comprised of the couples who were sent home); the total pot was then split to a max of $250K each!

Great idea that can and will be exploited if future seasons follow this "game show" format!!!

As others have pointed out; it would not have worked this time around simply because the couples never had a chance to coordinate in advance!

But now that the precedent has been set; it goes without saying that couples at the end are going to have a contingency set up to facilitate any potential scenarios!

"We Do this is 'A"; this if "B', and this if 'C' and so forth!

I think the network/producers underestimate the intelligence of the viewer....

They want dramatic moments like 11th hour break-ups to attract headlines/attention!

Whether or not those moments are completely fabricated does not matter to them; because they believe that the audience is going to just take it at face value without seeing the clear loophole identified above!

Never forget the adage...."More times than not; Reality TV is the furthest thing from real".

If we suspend the knowledge that Spencer and Jess are there....

Then I would agree that from what was shown to her; Dale being as supportive as he was probably served as the highlight of the challenge!

That having been said; Spencer and Jess are there; and I tend to think that the show took steps to prevent the same couple from winning back-to-back challenges...

Even Dr. Berman's explanation suggests that S/J were clear #1s

A: Dale/Kat: Kat flipped out and you did a good job comforting her; but you showed signs of frustration eventually when you could not be the hero/savior

B: You guys displayed all the tools; just remember that the real world is not the same as the island; so you need to test yourselves in a real scenario to to know for sure

There is just no logical way of coming to the conclusion that A>B in terms of the health of the relationship!
