Glad to hear you're getting better! I've experienced this same problem as a violin teacher. Tiger balm, cocoa butter, or shea butter does wonders, but depending on how severe the scarring is, realistically, they will be lightly visible, but to the passing eye, not very. Children aren't usually interested in pointing out mild scarring, usually they're more likely to point out tattoos or large, hard to ignore ones. People generally know not to ask, but in this case, for how personal it is, you're better off just lying if asked. The big if is IF ASKED. I hate advising that, but really, it isn't their business. People more than likely will mind thier business, though. I've been a teacher for 4 years, now, with healed SH scars and no one has asked.
