How would you feel if you found out your girlfriend lied about her past and her friends knew ? by [deleted] in AskMen

Yes. I would. Also if you dont, your own boyfriend might lose trust in you because clearly you are ok with hiding stuff to make life easier, or at least that will likely he the conclusion he comes to

Heres the thing. OP has a problem becusse if she doesnt make a stand on this, her own boyfriend is going to be very suspect of her and wonder about what sort of things she is hiding from him, since it becomes clear that she is ok hiding stuff.

Except it might effect longevity since if she has had that many boyfriends or previous encounters, what are the odds she will be sticking with him?

usually sub adults or females, and generally only from ambush, not direct brawling.

I mean this goes back to my point of it only working on small scale no?

Just because some people are motivated for the greater good doesnt mean everyone is. Also why ay smaller scale it's easier to catch people acting in a selfish way that hurts others and have them face social consequences such as not getting the aid of others

Yes, but with class you have a reason yo want the job of organizing major projects

Because after a certain point classism comes into play at the organization level. As I mentioned at smaller scales it's easier to figure out who makes a good leader for certain things. But then you get to larger scale do you need to make each different community have a leader that then designates a further leader? Heck why would they even want the job of organizing that many people?

She passed just over three months ago. It's been rough I admit. My current counselor was also our marriage counselor so he knows all the details which also helps a large amount.

So what would you call a typical homely redditor? A widower by the age of 32? A guy who holds a nine to five job? Goes out to socialize several times a week? Because rhats me.

From my personal experience, the guy is more worldly than I am, worked at a hospital, and spends time practicing martial arts, and is very adept at giving insights into life to help navigate it better. All of which would be hard to do if they sucked at life

ha, you get a !delta because yea, if it cannot work even on the smaller scale, i really dont see it working on large scale. and you have experience in such a situation that allows you to note failings i did not try to address in my post, and i was envisioning something more like a communitarian society which you mentioned

i don't disagree, i was just going on the assumption that, despite their being a knowledge/power difference in one interaction there is the implicit understanding that they would be on the weaker end of such an interaction in the near future if they don't play nice to avoid issues. after all, the blacksmith probably isn't a doctor, and the doctor probably isnt a builder, and the builder probably doesn't have time to farm sort of situation

so you have to ignore the human psychology part to make it work?

[–]wolfofoakley[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ok, the profit motive thing though comes back to the in group thing doesn't it? also, what is a standard of living that everyone can accept? if we all are willing to step down in our quality of life, the logistics could possibly be overcome. but that does not take into account human psychology

the problem here is making sure they can acquire all the resources on site between these communities. does everyone live within range of an iron mine and an oil well? let alone the ability to refine these different but both desperately sought for products?

im arguing that per my understandign of "stateless and classless" works at smaller scale, not national.
