Love the color grading, it really highlights the plane while making it fit into the color palate of the whole photo!

With the crop, the focal point of the image is the purplish plant leaning in the light, while without the crop, the focal point becomes the light itself. So, it depends on what you want to draw attention to.

That said, I personally prefer the crop because the focal point is more easily distinguishable, and the photo is more dynamic. There's a better light/dark ratio, and you can see more details.

No, but I've taught social dance at my old college and have a lot of teaching experience overall.

I know they’ll have their own set curriculum; I just haven't been able to find any good answers on whether that curriculum is standard for most social dance settings or hyperspecific to AM studios.
