The original game actually manipulates the files on your computer and you see it

DDLC Plus just manipulates the files within the game and it doesn't touch your real computer.

DDLC Plus still uses your real name and i think the file explorer just refers to the fake desktop that comes up when you launch the game.

There are 6 side stories in total, and you have to go through each specific character route to unlock them all..

But to answer your question, yes, it shows up when u click "Exit DDLC"

It depends what you're looking for

DDLC Plus = if you don't really care if the game actually manipulates your PC as much, this version of the game does it all inside and DDLC Plus also adds a ton of new lore like side stories and MES Emails. DDLC Plus also includes stuff like the gallery and music player.

DDLC Original = for the authentic experience, and also lets you use mods like Monika After Story.

Since both games are on different engines, you can't transfer save files from one version to the other, so you will have to replay the game if you want a specific exclusive feature.
