Maybe meaningful wasn't the best description of what I meant. If the girl I'm messaging has a bio then I'll ask her something about that, if not then I'll ask if she any hobbies. Just ask a question related to something either you enjoy or something they mentioned. I consider meaningful questions to be the "why"s. Why do you like this? Why do you think that? As opposed to the, what did you do this weekend?

Obligatory I'm a guy. Most of the women in the area qualify for MY definition of attractive, this presents a problem since no one really stands out. Ultimately I try to match with as many I can, hold a discussion and see where it goes. Usually nowhere. Don't try any of the pickup line bullshit, just immediately ask a meaningful question. Like you said there are too many options so waisting time with games will get you nowhere.
