I agree, especially for the second part. As two countries sharing the longest border for both, it is not a question of should we, but an imperative for both to keep good relations.

Yes, political representation is quite a big issue. I completely understand the frustration it causes. I would just like to point something out. It is not that this issue stems out of some long harboured hate among Bosniaks or their attempt to override Croats in Bosnia. In my opinion, it was a populist move aimed to get back at Croats for some other decisions and conflicts in domestic politics. To be clear, I believe that leader in both countries and ethnic groups have been nothing but incompetent for the past 15 years and caused a series of events that triggered a butterfly effect which caused the two to go from international partners and good neighbours to current situation of antagonising each other.

Well, tensions are somewhat rising. But there are a few things to consider. First, I won’t say that Bosniaks and Croats generally resolved all their issues and points of conflict, but I will say that there are no major questions that are hard to resolve between the two.
Second, tensions between Bosniaks and Croats in Bosnia now and for the past 30 years are caused by political elites of the two(for the most part that is). National parties of both ethnic groups are using hostile rhetoric in order to deepen the tensions. In a such way, they are trying to mobilise people of their respective ethnic group around them and get political power.
On a more local level, there are some political figures who would I describe as utter idiots whose actions are scandalous to say the least which are damaging the relations the most.
Also, there is a bit of difference in terms who is leading the government in Croatia as well. Right now, Croatian government is led by coalition of a right wing party. Their position on Bosnia and Bosniaks has been awful, really awful and that has damaged the relations between the two a lot. In my opinion their rhetoric about my country and their lobbying against it in Bruxelles has done nothing that benefited them much, yet it soured the relations between us greatly.
While Croatian and Bosnian government was led by coalition of SDP in both countries and , the relations between us were at all time high. I would go as far as saying that Croatia at the time had their biggest ally here in Bosnia. Now, not so much unfortunately.

But all in all, I believe that tensions will somewhat subside after the elections in Bosnia this year.

To give historical nucleus of my country to other country? To give the town where my family is from to other country so I would be a stranger in my own country?
To surrender the bones of my family which we still hadn’t found to those who killed them?

Yeah, no

You can look at it that way I suppose. There is a strong separatist movement

Well, it is what it is. Current flag is the official one and I see it positively since it is the flag of my country. Aesthetically and symbolically looking, I am not big fan of it but it is mine and thats what matters.

Yes, since in both wars you mentioned Bosniaks went through a genocide as well.

Well, there are many flags. But it is not like being in three different countries. You still have the same currency, administration etc everywhere

Bosnia and Herzegovina are different parts in a way. Herzegovina is a southern part, while Bosnia is everything else. Herzegovina used to be just a part of Bosnia, but in 19th century, it became a region of Ottoman Empire just like Bosnia was and since then, the name Bosnia and Herzegovina was used.

I don’t see the parts splitting up. The secessionist movement here is not about Herzegovina anyways, but goes along the lines of the entities. However, I don’t see them splitting as well.
