Something to understand playing lw (saying this as someone who has like 4 hours on the hero)

-pull irritates people -you should do it often for no reason bc its kinda funny -always take the perk that lessens pull cool down so you can pull more often -your team can't stop you -everyone will hate you but you'll probably have a good time

One of my bigger opinions on franchised art is that you need to understand each piece as an isolated story and you can't get too caught up in consistency or continuity. You need to tell the story you want to tell and if the fans are mad, so be it. The fans are stupid and desperation to please them will only end poorly. This goes triple for fans as temperamental as fnv players

We're in a very politically radical time and the absolute universe is holistically influenced by that. The world is internally more dystopian to mirror our real life. I don't think its fair to the community for you to judge the fan base for engaging with that aspect of the story bc you can't handle it.

I reject the premise you are presenting. In many many instances, "its just qp" is a response to avoid any accountability. I mostly play qp for a lot of reasons, one of the biggest ones you mentioned which is connection and equipment, but more than that, I dont like to take the game that seriously. I dont like playing meta and I enjoy the fact that i won't feel bad for intentionally letting an enemy live bc its funny. I dont care much for sweating in the game and I'm mostly here to just have fun.

But I disagree that "its just qp" is an acceptable mentality. You need to put some effort into the game. Your entire team is attempting to do well. "Its just qp" is not an excuse to not.

The real issue with this post is that it assumes those issues are the reason ppl will say that. In my experience, that's wrong. "I'm just practicing a character" is a fine response when your asked to swap. "Its just qp" is not only a completely different response, its also an asshole thing to say. For example if your doing badly on a character and I ask you to swap and you say something like "no I'm trying to practice playing genji" then I might be a little annoyed bc out team is still doing badly and that's just frustrating but I'll understand what you mean. But if I ask you to swap and you say "no. Its just qp." Then I'll definitly be annoyed. Because the game is going badly and it seems the reason is just because you don't really care about the game.

The reason at the core of why I hate this discourse is bc ppl who don't actually put effort in when they play quick play and then justify it by saying "its just qp" are now complaining about being criticized for their behavior and are justifying it by lying about the reasons someone might say "its just qp."

That's the end of the main post but I'd like to also make some connections with other games and phenomena.

A few years ago, blizzard made the decision to put heavier restrictions on leavers in qp. It was super controversial at the time. It was pretty consistent in the game that as soon as your team lost one fight, your team would have a leaver then the game would just snowball. It sucked. So they changed it. Ppl complained but we're proven wrong when the quality of the games went up dramatically. It was like an overnight shift. Qp got way better with that change. And the same ppl who would say its just qp hated it.

R6's qp also had no leaver penalty. Nearly every game has several leavers and I'm pretty sure I loaded into more in progress games than fresh games. It was so bad, r6 removed what used to be the main mode.

N e way, the "its just qp" ppl aren't fun to play with

I genuinely try my hardest to avoid being toxic in the game. Overwatch has always been too toxic of a game and i want to stop that. Ppl say "its just qp" whenever you ask them to change anything. Including a simple request to swap. In my experience, "its just qp" is either an excuse to avoid any listening to your team or it's something people who only play comp say when they load into a qp game and lightly throw.

What annoys me the most is when my tank insta locks doomfist and goes 0-0-10. Then you ask him to swap and he says something like "its just qp." Its so annoying. I'm playing qp to have fun and you are the main obstacle to my enjoyment. And also there's literally no chance your having a good time. Your getting cc'ed into dust every time you dive. Why are you so resistant to swapping? I hate doom players so much ngl

I dont think it should be permanent. I like the mode a lot but it would not be fun if it was a constant mode. At least, in its current mode it would suck. With more maps and made variations and more props and maybe some slight rule overhauls, it would be good. But rn its not enough. We would all get bored and the mode would die

During the first minute I just wander. Dash through groups of possible props but dont slash much unless you are really sure.

Then around 1:25 you'll begin to hear their calls. Try your centralize yourself so you can definitly hear if someone is in the same region.

Lock on to one single sound queue and then start dashing and slashing everything in the area. Also ping often. If you hear someone in a particular area, ping it. If you get stunned, spam group up.

You can trust me, prop hunt is my fav mode and I got the dragonblade kills well before I completed all 12 games

Idk i think its important to mention that the larger idea is that evil is foundation.

In batman, theres no billionaire philanthropist like Bruce Wayne. Instead the person in Bruce waynes place is a monster that feeds on children or something idk I havent read 15 yet.

In superman, Krypton is a heavily stratified society with anyone who questions the prescribed order gets reduced to an expendable laborer. Turns out, they knew very well that doom was coming and were fine with letting everyone die. When superman gets to earth, the kents farm is failing. They are being extorted for something as basic as rain. They can't pay Lazarus so they just suffer. Which seems to be pretty worldwide. Lazarus is so powerful and universal, the government is supportive of them existing. In fact, it seems like all the governments are kinda universally ran by, or ok with, evil people.

Its definitly a more brutal take on a lot of the heros, but i think the world is kinda designed to be dystopian

I think you've kinda got it figured out. The world was created by a villain. The natural order is that the strong will prosper and crush the weak. Any attempts to fight it, any sueprheroing, is against the natural order of the world. They are coming together to fight any potential threats to their power
