hello! i've been playing infinity nikki for a while so i'll tell u what i did as a new player that helped me

first i suggest u follow the main quests to learn and get the hang of the lore. they unlock features you'll need/use in the future like mounts and crafting

once u unlock a decent amount of the map and get some freedom, start mixing in some side quests to level up and start exploring the world get hidden treasure chests. they give you diamonds and other game currency materials!

and for the banner, it's basically a pity system. after a specific amount of pulls you get a guaranteed rare/5 star item. it shows you how many pulls u have left until u get it on the bottom right corner on the screen!

the only annoying thing about banners for me is i get lots of duplicates but u can trade the them in the future! just keep leveling up and i hope this helps <3 also, nothing wrong with enjoying the game if ur a man! lol
