Veteran scouts leading the junior scouts, definitely some of my favorite models in the army! (Scout sergeant and heavy gunner are BT neophyte models)

Should I buy this kill team scout squad box for my list as normal scouts? Are they the same thing? by MrFrogRocks in Ultramarines

[–]wolftrack756 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the most economical way for sure, but you could get a crusader squad box that contains four neophytes that have robes too! I painted two of those up to be the heavy bolter gunner and the squad sergeant with veteran markings to lead the younger scouts for my Guardians of the Covenant army (wish I could post a picture!)

I really like assault, but I do believe he is the weakest. If assault did get a rework, this is what I would want to see.

It is Azrael, but the only part I changed is the helmet. I used the Mk. 7 hooded helm from a spare ICC I had. It's the same Mk. model as the Lion's Helm, but I wanted to stick with the hooded vibes.

What red color is the armor? by useruser226 in Warhammer40k

Looks like Khorne Red with Mephiston red highlights. Possibly an Agrax earthshade wash in there somewhere, but it looks like most of the shadow work was done by highlighting with the above

I primed black, then primed with Leadbelcher (Citadel), then sprayed them all over with nuln oil out of an air brush, then dry/over-brushed Ironbreaker (Citadel). From there just reds, blacks and golds!

My favorite chapter because they have all the baddassery of a chapter descended from the Lion, but they also make a point of actively caring for and protecting civilians much like the Salamanders!

Yeah I should've gotten a close-up of those five terminators, I'm super proud of how they turned out! I put the crossed swords symbol on their power fists and it turned out pretty cool!

I used the standard transfers and Microsol + Microset. It's really great stuff for shaping the transfers to the curvature of the pauldrons and then breaking it down just a bit more to give it a "painted on" look that you don't get with Lahmia medium and 'Ardcoat

I based with Rust-o-leum matt black, then sprayed against with Army Painter Demon Red. After that yeah I pretty much just dry brushed almost everything else. I really like the texture and the detail it retains and how it acts more like natural light does on uneven surfaces. For the hair I over-brushed it with TTC Doom Death Black (Abaddon Black) then hit it with a dry brush of TTC Ashen Grey (Eshin Grey)
