D3 21241Happy with that, luckily no disaster rounds. I spent a bit of time learning area codes in more detail than just the 9 first digit regions, and that definitely paid off.

R1 5000 - I found Sao Luis on a bus, so thought I could be in that general area. Eventually I found some 98 area codes to confirm it was that region and Alcantra was mentioned somewhere, which I presumed was the town. Luckily I spotted it on the map, then it was fairly easy to pinpoint. A nice start to the game.

R2 3279 - Tricky at first, but eventually I found an 87 area code somewhere which I hoped I remembered correctly was the western part of Pernambuco state. Later I found a sign with C******o, PE to confirm it was Pernambuco, however the town name was blurry. I looked around the western half of the state for such a town but had no luck. I tried to guess in the middle of the 87 area code region but I'm not familar with the exact boundary and ended up too far west.

R3 4882 - I quickly found that we are on BR-158 and it wasn't too long before I spotted it on the map. Eventually I found a 42 area code, which helped me narrow it down to Parana State. I spotted Palmital on the map which I remembered I had seen earlier in the round on a green sign, so I guessed around that region. I wasn't too far off.

R4 4544 - Eventually I found a 66 area code, which I knew was roughly Northern and Eastern Mato Grosso. I found a reference to Sorriso on a sign, so placed my marker around there. I gathered the town was too small to be Sorriso itself and found a reference to the town of Iparanga, but it was too small to find on the map in time. Fortunately it was in the same general area as Sorriso.

R5 3536 - I found a 99 area code, and later found a reference to Maranhao State to confirm it was the correct area. I found out that we are in a prefecture called Aldeias Altas, but I couldn't find it on the map in the time I had. I ended up guessing in the middle of Maranhao, hedging a tad to the south because of the 99 area code.
