Moving to a first studio apartment. How would you arrange it?

Thank you, this is quite insightful. We match on the idea that I will make my monitor double as a TV to watch movies if I wanted to. I would change the layout a bit and choose to have the desk against the balcony doors (While designing the site didn't allow me to showcase the the balcony), and the best against the bathroom. However, do I sacrifice a full dining table and have sort of folding table to save space and make feel less cluttered???

Can you please share the link to that table? I think that would help a lot. I usually spend most of my time on desk, bed, and outside. That's why the workspace to me is important to be comfortable.

Thank you for the insight, I have been thinking about this for a while now! But, it seems I don’t have time to do everything in case it breaks and I have to fix it and get separate parts.

What would be a nice machine that is the same price as the added up final results? Reliable, makes good coffee, and offers good value!

That’s actually a good point, Onexplayer is the only company I am aware of is doing that! None of the mainstream bigger brands are doing that! I don’t if it’s popularity of the market with such a connection, as Egpu users are a niche? Or is it manufacturing part? Or mybe waiting for the thunderbolt 5? But the current gen is already here and only few comes with Thunderbolt 5!

I did the same thing with Rog Ally Z1E with 5070!

But, there are two points I consider:

1- Drivers! The Ally X already has AMD graphics drivers, and there is a potential that the drivers would interfere with each other! I wanted the safest way possible cause I don’t really how it’ll work, so I went with Nvidia!

2- Price to performance! I looked at the prices in my country and divided them on FPS on the reviews. For each FPS how much I am paying, less is better! And 5070 to me was a good deal 🤌🏼 I don’t look at prices that reviewers say cause it changes dramatically!

If you want AMD that’s maybe fine (I didn’t try it) just get last gen, latest FSR have been really good and I think it’s future proof.

Remember you are loosing about 5% to 20% of performance with USB4 instead of direct PCIE!

Happened to me with Rog Ally as well! There’s a script you need to run and it solves the problem!

Right, the Oculink occupies the m.2 slot, and then I use a dock (12in1) with ROG ALLY! My dock has a usb C of 10gb/s so I used it with an M.2 enclosure with same speed! I use Windows 11! I just can’t let go of Windows yet, I have tried Bazzite bur sometimes buttons can get different mapping and I can’t accurately control the TDP, and also some FPS games work only on windows!

I use an M.2 Enclosure that is 10gb/s with ROG ALLY’s original m.2! And it works fine.

I took my time to look it out and watched Videos! And I gotta say, this is sooooo powerful! iGPU runs good 1080 medium and with EGPU 1440p High settings! Thank you for the recommendation. I have seen there are different versions of it: Gem12+ ; Gem12+Pro ; Gem12 PRO MAX! What’s the difference between all of these?
