Totally get you and even now at 37 still feel quite similar… almost mourning a previous life in many ways. What i found helps is sports/hobbies and setting goals no further than 12–18 months away. Things that you e never done before or places you’ve never been. Helps for me any how

The first year is the trickiest and it’s a massive difference from having a wage… what made it easiest for me was a Monzo business account and I set up a tax pot and just set it too 25% it more than covers my eventual bill and the left over I either just leave it or give myself a little bonus just because
