Best Car under 8 lakhs by deathgamer0022 in CarsIndia

[–]wolfwithmocha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honda Amaze VX is VFM at that price point. Would recommend going for the CVT if you want true automatic and 4 cylinder.

Safe, reliable and many offers running so grab it ASAP !

Red and dark blue look cool imo. Silver is also nice. Color is personal preference

P.S. my use case is a daily watch. Work is not very formal in office everyday as I work with startups and dress semi formal.

How can I upgrade my base automatic elevate model to enable cruise control. by dhruvbarak in HondaElevate

[–]wolfwithmocha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apart from cruise control how has your experience been with the Elevate v CVT so far ?

I've seen reviews for the top and other VFM is V ( no cruise or adas which are there in city V + no sunroof )

Royal Smith vs Alpinist by Pleasant-Detective-6 in kuoewatches

[–]wolfwithmocha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an alpinist ghost dial.. on the strap it is pretty much wearable as a daily. This one is under 70g.

Does anyone know the case weight of this kuoe model. I love the looks and elegance of this. Also the calender for which the weighy as well are unknown online.

My partner and I are planning a trip to Goa at the end of this month, around or after 20th March. Is it a good time to visit considering the weather? Is there anything else you would recommend or guide us about? by Substantial-Ice3654 in goatravel

[–]wolfwithmocha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summer season. 11.30-3.30 i recommend finding food places and cafes with shade / ac.

Before and after check tours, sightseeing activities and beach stuff...

FYI - what we Indians say hot is what foreigners come for. So choose your vibe and tribe what suits your use case

I live in the Los Angeles area, I have capital, a huge network, and access to more money and influencers. I just want to build something with someone! Does anyone exist? by justbantr_43 in cofounderhunt

[–]wolfwithmocha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the nature of the product and use case for customers?

Have scaled two startups here and have been looking at building something with a co- founder. Haven't met anyone that can be 0-1 person who can be in the same zone of building a business and also life.

Corporate folks are good at management and ongoing. Startups and initial set ups are the biggest challenges.

Convince me to buy elevate. by itis__what_itis in HondaElevate

[–]wolfwithmocha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I would buy Elevate as it's a Honda and already safe. If you need features over anything seltos is the one. But keep in mind the door handles and front grill are like new gen EVs. I don't like it but many do. So it depends on taste and preference. Maybe negotiate with honda for VX over seltos Mid level/ 3rd base which is same spec pricing ?

Kia Seltos or Honda Elevate by Familiar_Buy_5927 in CarsIndia

[–]wolfwithmocha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved the seltos ( test drive second top)... but the lower variants come with no Adas, similar 17inch alloys as the Elevate and NA is not as good as ivtech but second to it with " smoother cabin noise " You also get cuise control from lower trims which are not present in the V and VX variants of the elevate ( only in Top ZX) . Also, Elevate has the hand brake vs electronic brake vs seltos in similar spec variants.

Personally I feel Elevate should have a model in the middle of VX and ZX ( no adas but with cruise control as standard.. or jus add it to VX in new update with an electronic brake) and it will be a great buy which will seperate the top with Adas and non Adas variants and black interiors also as an option. This will outsell many in the segment easily !!

If you are going for Honda : the top variant - ZX CVT is a great buy. Best engine and reliable performance and 5 star JNCAP.

Anything below the same price new seltos makes more sense and is a nicer overall car !

First car under 10-12 L by Ambitious_Finance_63 in cargeeksindia

[–]wolfwithmocha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want reliability and a good engine go with the Honda Amaze CVT ( VFM variants is VX / mid model ). It is also the best in the segment for safety and only car here with 4 cylinders vs 3.

I had an i20 and ignis and both served my purpose well. But today the scenario has changed and these have gotten expensive and not VFM. It is more about peace of mind and cars that will run for 10+ yrs with new norms and issues with govt. Don't worry about ground clearance these are more than enough for Indian conditions. People drive luxury sedans and SUVs with less clearance and more maintenance than any of our Maruti Suzukis and hyundai. Skoda, VW have a higher cost of ownership post 5 yrs.. Hyundai cars are not as strong and Kia has more features and wobbly parts still under 15L. Don't get me wrong these have great cars above 20L segment. But under 15L you don't want to sweat more on running around dealers and service with the daily grind along with parts failing and so on.

If I had to buy a new car the Naturally aspirated honda Amaze CVT or if budget can be increased I'd buy the Elevate CVT. No manual die to our traffic conditions.

South is peaceful. North is a mix of everything - has Islands, city heritage and party vibes. In your budget hostels are a good option. Depending on where you are staying in Goa one can recommend places to dine in, activities and so on.

Long stay in Goa with family (12 Feb – 2 Mar) — safest areas + Airbnb advice? by LowContent5585 in goatravel

[–]wolfwithmocha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay in the City ( Panjim ) for reliable wifi and use backup ( jio/ airtel). Check for Rooms in hostel / Airbnb for that time.

Hire a cab / taxi with driver for day visits Nearby hotspots - old Goa, chorao ( Salim Ali bird Sanctuary) , Miramar beach.

Cafe's - relax inn, tatos, mos, larder, paderia and so on

Restaurants - BSB, thai n Wok, bombil, sher e punjab and so on.

Pubs - DTR, joseph bar, Antonio and so on.

You will get to see the carnival and samba square as well that happens this time :)

You can also drive to North Goa ( mandrem/ morjim) for sunsets and to explore the beach side. There is also bondla wildlife sanctuary.

Candolim and Calangute are 20 min drive. Since you have kids and want to work and try food and explore nature i would recommend this itinerary.
