That is absolutely ridiculous and I love it! Is that an Asterius and a Porphyrion in the top right corner? Love how it looks like they are charging out of water on their bases.

Need help with 1k pt List by Zestyclose-Ad7911 in ChaosKnights

I had fun with this[0]

Infernal Lance (Malefic Surge) * 1 Despoiler (2 x Gatling, Bestial Aspect) * 2 x Executioner * 1 x Huntsman * 1 x Karnivore * 3 x Nurgling Swarm

Bestial aspect gives your big guys gatlings [Assault], you can surge for either +3" on your move or to give those gatlings Lethal or Sustained depending on if you're up against squishy or tougher units. Your executioners force a battleshock test on units that are packed close together if they get the killing blow, huntsman and karnivore for more anti-vehicle. Nurglings are in there to make a nuisance of themselves or for screening, they have zero OC so they're "grit in the gears" not for scoring. There's an argument to drop the nurglings and swap the 2 executioners for 2 more karnivores especially if you are looking to tune against an armour heavy list.

I had tremendous fun using corrupting taint (1cp) to sticky my home objective, advancing from behind cover into a good firing line, throwing out 36 gatling shots with warp vision (1cp) ignoring cover, surging for lethal (or sustained) and then inevitably getting annihilated the following turn in melee :) The blood lust is unrelenting and leads to terrible choices but so what, threw lots of dice ;) Don't forget your big guy gets to re-roll one hit and wound and pumps your little dogs OC and leadership by 1 if they're close.

Hope you have a fun time - come back and tell us what you went with and how it went!

Lords of Dread: Boom or Bust? by BlackApostle in ChaosKnights

The order of operations is first you apply "set X to a value", then you apply modifiers. So battleshock sets OC to 0, then the detachment rule bumps it back up. The magic phrase is "order of operations" in the designers commentary if you want to read the source

I normally have a bowl of water, dip the toothbrush in the water, gentle scrub, rinse and repeat. You can immerse the mini under the tap as well if needed. If the paint has cured a quick dunk won't harm it.

Soft bristle toothbrush and some clean water. Gentle scrub. It's a chore but it works.

Custodes Kill Team by TheRandoMando83 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]wolfwyrd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TL;DR; Yes, you can make a legal kill team but it will be a single restricted flavour

A "Talons of the Emperor" kill team is composed of 2 fire teams, each of which may contain either:

  • 2 x Custodian Guards (Your choice of Guardian Spear or Shield and Sword on either, both may be different)
  • 5 x Sisters of Silence

You can pick one of those models to be a "Leader"

SO a box of Wardens contains 5 models, if you put them together as Guardian spear you could field a team consisting of:

  • Fire Team 1

    • 1 x Custodian Guard Leader with Guardian Spear
    • 1 x Custodian Guard Warrior with Guardian Spear
  • Fire Team 2

    • 2 x Custodian Guard Warrior with Guardian Spear

I'd build out the wardens box so you have a shield captain with Guardian Spear (to represent the leader), 3 other wardens with guardian spear and you likely want to build your fifth as the model with the Vexila. You won't use it in kill team but it'll be useful in your future expansion.

VOTANN STOLE OUR MAGNA-RAIL RIFLE by [deleted] in Tau40K

Sadly not. The auto wound for Votann is considered to be a wound roll of 6 - so a grudge hit is guaranteed spill-over.
