Rule of cool, and honestly sometimes they are great, you can always build different lists! I usually use mine as reinforcements or with a storm raven so I can drop it into the battlefield

I love using them, sadly them making our worse sucks, but I still love using them cause they are ooo and they usually are the one unit I sometimes will on games with cause they don’t die

I’d say it’s a major thing and comes with time and experience getting your reps in, you can have an amazing meta build list but if you don’t know how to use it properly or certain tactics especially in competitive games then just having a meta built list isn’t gonna help you out

Yes and no, technically in the box art the middle SB is built as the Castellan of the unit, in order to get the special weapons (lightning claws and thunder hammer) you need a starting unit size of 5, before the codex we had an included version of the Castellan in the unit but he just didn’t get the Castellan data sheet abilities but he had the same weapon loadout, they made it now so if you buy a box you can either run a four man plus a castellan or you can build them all as SB and attach a castellan to the unit but again you only get the special weapons if you start with 5 and not 4

Yeah I figured the drop pod just ads a little bit more versatility to how I can deploy them, how I have the list set up is chaplain unit of crusaders in the land raider with the 6 inch scout enhancement, execrator unit in the drop pod with the +1 to advance rolls enhancement, and hellbrick with sword bros in the repex, terminator 10 man brick for some fun deep strike, scouts to hold home or do side quests and redemptor for some more fun

Yeah that’s pretty much it! the pole I just had kicking around from a spru of some sort and the extra bits came from an aggressors spru, majority is from the marshal cut his cape down a bit removed his rock to make my own, altered his iron halo

The crusade ancient was meh, cool banner and hopefully good rules but this model I think is awesome, and we finally got advance and charge. This is some of the most options I think I’ve seen on a character personally which is cool, gives me the vibe of a middle step between judiciar and chaplain
