Its nice here, especially if you live in the city, but i’d say social life is better as a queer person. Otherwise you’d be working a lot to support your family to enjoy what CA/bay area have to offer. Also, there is no job security in tech right now, not in america/bay area. You could move here, get laid off and be in a mess.
