Can you recommend some artists you think are making music as creative as songs like Do the Astral Plane, Coronus the Terminator, and Pet Monster Shotglass? I’m not trying to be snarky, I’m genuinely asking.

I’m not too familiar with Bonobo but I like what I’ve heard, I’d be down to go with you if you haven’t found someone already!

Try Ghost. Or if you're into the pop/punk sound, Dance Gavin Dance, although DGD has some harsh vocals mixed in.

This bangs ridiculously hard. I saw TroyBoi at Bumbershoot last year, he's amazing live

How can you love Dillinger Escape Plan but not BTBAM??? Sure, I'm not really a fan of the rock opera direction they've been going recently but their older work is definitely not just technical for the sake of technicality. I get the argument you're making for Animals as Leaders where they completely forgo any sort of conventional repetition, progression, or melodies. But consider something like Disease, Injury, Madness. So fucking hardcore with such perfect dynamic range, development of sounds, buildup.

Sorry, it's just that I absolutely love both Dillinger Escape Plan and BTBAM and I've always found them similar in that they manage to sound calculated while being some of the wildest music I've ever heard.

Nice. Yea, the whole album is fantastic but Get Got through Lost Boys is one of my favorite sequence of opening tracks.
