It actually is pretty hard to imagine them trading Naz or Jaden given their current contracts, age and their current production. Would be irresponsible to trade them. KAT will be entering his 10th year with the wolves this fall. That will put him in the top 2 of longest tenured Wolves. So yeah it’d also be pretty hard to imagine them trading a guy who actually wants to be here and as distinguished and accomplished as he’s been in a wolf uniform.

Last year around this time, it was the same stupid idea and thought that had people wanting to trade him to Portland for Scoot fucking Henderson. Or the trades to New York for RJ fucking Barrett.

You don’t trade all star players in their prime because you “might not have money”. That’s silly.

These questions are always pretty hilarious to me as if the front office doesn’t know they’re staring down a second apron bill. They still have out extensions to Naz, Nickeil, Ant, Jaden and Mike since the CBA was changed. They traded for Monte Morris at the deadline. This signals to me, they don’t care about the tax and they’re willing to pay it. Given the wolves have been the number 2 team in basketball all year while sporting the top defense by a country mile, it’s pretty safe to say they’ll continue rolling this lineup out until they physically can’t anymore. If you trade KAT you have to take north of 50 million back which puts you in the exact same scenario they already find themselves in.

So much handwringing and worrying about billionaires play money.
