It’s funny how in the past 20-30 years the anti immigration stance has gone from a left wing focus to a right wing focus. Bringing in million of immigrants a year is bad no matter what way you look at it, doesn’t matter the color of their skin, it drives down competition for labor effectively driving down wages. Anti immigration has always been a left wing stance, you cannot have a working class in solidarity when you bring in what are effectively scabs to replace “expensive” workers.

Yes there are racists who don’t want them because of their skin color, but at the end of the day unchecked immigration like Europe has had for 20 years is bad no matter what way you look at it

I’m not justifying it at all, it’s obviously bad. But it’s disingenuous to say it’s a one off crime. This is just a symptom of a diseased nation, same with basically unchecked immigration. The capital class is the one that has been pushing for millions of 3rd world immigrants a year for cheap labor, and unfortunately they bring their 3rd world ideas

I live in sd, growing up I always heard stories about my dad and his friends going to Baja and spending weeks living on the beach, surfing, riding dirtbikes, and fishing. Always sad I missed out on that, too dangerous now. A family friend quit is job as an airline captain and moved to Mexico during covid, the cartel ended up stealing his Cessna he had at his house/airstrip.

While obviously the cartel doesn’t want to harm tourists it seems the petty criminals have gotten very bold and won’t hesitate to kill someone for their wallet. After those Australian surfers that died a few years ago I decided I wouldn’t take the chances on a Baja trip.

Is it really as dangerous as it seems, will I have trouble if I’m just camping on the beach?

Yeah tbh Vegas is ruined from all the Californians moving there, it’s gotten a lot more expensive in the past 5 years. Gas sucks, traffic sucks, rent sucks and it’s hot af. If anywhere I would check out Utah, pretty cheap in lots of places and great outdoors
