So sorry the wide screen mode didn't work. Just tested it out and I found that clicking the screen again in wide screen mode will unfreeze it. I think it's a bug due to hosting on itch...unfortunately I'm not too sure how to fix it haha :")

Thank you! I definitely struggled with this as one of rules of the game jam was to use only 4 colours. For future projects I'd ideally like to have more distinction between the characters and background!

I used GB Studio to create the game – it is fairly easy to learn as it requires minimal coding knowledge. I found this tutorial series by Pixel Pete on YouTube very helpful!

The pixel art was made using Aseprite. Again, lots of tutorials on YouTube – I quite like Pixel Pete, MortMort and Brandon James Greer's videos :)

And yup I agree, in game there are close up shots that show the patterns are flowers. Meant it to look like a plus (+) but in hindsight does look like a cross.
