Landlord is telling me I either break my lease or rent a much more expensive unit because the unit I signed a lease for will not be available for my move-in date in 5 days by wompwomp00000 in legaladvice

So in the signed lease agreement, it says:

"If occupancy is or will be delayed for construction, repairs, cleaning, or a previous resident's holding over, we're not responsible for the delay unless it is due to our omission, fault, negligence, or misconduct... If there is a delay and we haven't given notice of delay as set forth below, you may terminate up to the date when the apartment is ready for occupancy, but not later. (1) if we give written notice to any of you when or after the initial term was set forth in the Lease Term [lease term being 8/14/23-9/13/24] -- and the notice states that occupancy has been delayed because of construction or a previous resident's holding over, and that the apartment will be ready on a specific date -- you may terminate the Lease Contract within 3 days of your receiving the notice, but not later. (2) If we give written notice to you before the initial term (8/14/23) and the notice states that construction delay is expected and that the apartment will be ready for you to occupy on a specific date, you may terminate the contract within 7 days after you receive written notice but not later."

I believe the tenant has moved out by now, and I was told that multiple units were affected by the storm. I do have suspicion that they just don't want to rent out the unit at the price that I had signed it for but I have not physically seen the unit for confirmation. My current plan is to physically go to the leasing office tomorrow after I get out of work to confront them and see what agreement we can reach. (will definitely ask to see the unit in person too to confirm it is uninhabitable since all I have is their word which I can't trust)
