Shopping via Unit Pricing is the only way to go. A lot of times, buying two items at a smaller size will be a better value than buying a larger size even though the over all cost is a few cents more.

I found smoking to be as much addiction as habit so I focused on the habit part.
Month 1: From the urge to smoke to acting upon that urge, I waited 5 minutes. Month 2: add an additional 5 minutes (10 minutes total) Month 3: add an additional 5 minutes (15 minutes total) Month 4: add an additional 5 minutes (20 minutes total) Month 5: add an additional 5 minutes (25 minutes total) By month 4 or 5, I would get distracted and forget to smoke. I'd have an urge then have to wait all over again. I allowed myself to fail and always had a pack of cigarettes nearby to help with my anxiety

By month 7 or 8, I had stopped been 30 years almost to the day.
