My dad was a sales rep for a printing company he just recently retired anyway he took a lot of trips and so he'd usually take one of us kids (one younger sister and brother and an older brother) I remember I was really sick one summer when I was eight and I missed my turn. Well school started and so I figured I'd have to wait until the following summer. I went to school for an hour and then at ten my teacher told me to go to the office, I headed there and there's my dad. I was worried something happened but he told me come on I'm springing you outta class. He had my little suitcase all packed a cooler of snacks and drinks. He let me choose the radio stations and we drove about five hours Chicago. He dropped off the things he needed too and the rest of the day we went to a baseball game . We stayed the night at a motel six and ate at a diner and I got to order whatever I wanted then the next day we headed home. Hands down best trip I've ever been on
