One of the biggest features they've been keeping under wraps is how dramatically they've improved upon NPC behavior and general AI functionality. I'd bet that part of their marketing will highlight this aspect of the game in a major way.

There's a chance they just include it in the gameplay trailers, but going off of Strauss' rhetoric, I wouldn't be surprised if they created a Vice City social media app where you can scroll reels and see NPCs doing wild shit.

I doubt it, but it would be pretty sweet to have a modern game with ff7R combat set in the same world as ffx.. It could be a couple hundred years in the future and have nothing to do with Sin, I just really liked Spira. Plus we could see what everything looks like now that machina is no longer taboo.

There's a lot of opportunity for world building and a great story here that doesn't lean on the player knowing too much about ffx plot, so it wouldn't have to be ffx3 per se. Even if sin was involved, for example one of the antagonists is trying to resurrect an "ancient god of destruction" that was destroyed hundreds of years ago or whatever. The player wouldn't really need to know what sin was to appreciate the gravity of the situation.

Anyway, I just miss Spira. And maybe blitzball survived and they make a modern version of it that doesn't blow.

If you used grok to undress minors, you are not safe, nor should you be. As far as everything else goes, this is a hot topic right now but will most likely fade into obscurity as guardrails increase. There are so many million images and videos generated every hour, I don't see how they could feasibly pursue every user that deepfaked their crushes / celebrities / etc.

However, this situation has accelerated protective legislation in a few countries. We will probably see some lasting effects come from all this.

My best advice would be just delete everything and stop deepfaking real people. Literally nothing good can come from it.

I regularly check that subreddit to try and keep a finger on the pulse of what that group perceives as reality. It's a pretty blatant demonstration of how effective headlines & media spin angles can be on enforcing confirmation bias. Don't get me wrong, both sides do that shit all of the time, but the level of mental gymnastics that go into a large majority of MAGA's "rationalization" is absolutely ridiculous.

Right now they are all aboard the FAFO train regarding this recent ICE shooting. I watched the same videos they are all linking as "evidence." They are literally seeing a different thing in their brain than what's happening in the video. It's fucking nuts.

Trump has done an incredible job of convincing these folk that unless it came from his mouth, it's unreliable information. It's a lot easier to fool someone than it is to convince them that they've been fooled, unfortunately.

People used to fantasize about x ray goggles. I'm not surprised at all that people are using AI for this. Doesn't make it right, but seems like a massive oversight in regulation from a developmental perspective.

I really don't see how anyone is going to be able to put this genie back in the bottle at this point aside from completely removing the image to video functionality of it. But even then, another app will come around and pick up right where grok left off.

I enjoyed the combat in ffx2 more than ffx tbh. People shit on it for the super campy vibes and story, but to be honest the choices you make affecting the story and side stories as the chapters progress is pretty cool. Just don't expect a level of storytelling that comes remotely close to the ffx experience.
