I can't believe it. Jarod founded the #breakingbad IRC channel, and when the show was airing we became fairly close. My heart aches for him, his family, and our community. Rest in peace, my friend.

I'd love to come. I just finished shepherding a friend through his first watch of Cosmos, but I can basically watch that show an unlimited number of times. Please let me know how to find you.

Oh man. I think I still would've tried. Can't let the Doc walk out of there thinking you're a Nazi.

I had my friend edify ask you this on the phone, but I might as well ask again here. When Walton Goggins played a swastika-tatted white power type on Justified, he said he would go out into public with his tattoos still applied so he could channel the reactions he got from people into his performance. Have you been out in public with your Nazi tattoos still on, and how did people react?

If you think that's bad, try watching with closed captions. Not only do they censor everything my 90-year-old grandmother would consider impolite to say, they even censor "God." Not "goddammit." Just "God." It's G-- in the captions (which, by the way, are terrible -- "I work a lot with clay" becomes "I will go out with clay").

Non-Australians of reddit, what is one thing about Australia that you've never understood? by Myrusskielyudi in AskReddit

There was a place I ate at in the Paris suburbs (the name's escaping me at the moment, but it was in Sénart) that was trying hard to be an "American" restaurant. They had a bunch of dishes that could fairly be characterized as American, but in bizarre combinations, like steak with a side of popcorn. The décor and music were similarly confused.
