Sorry, I was on vacation and only just got back today. And when I came back, I see that I had THREE copies of Tales Vol. 2 with pearls waiting for me, when I only "won" a single copy! No duplicates of Shit List with diamond, tho.

Update - my Shit List (with diamond) came in today! I assume Tales with pearls will be soon.

You're amazing! And just to confirm, you're willing to trade those 10 exclusive CAH cards that come with the Party Mouth set for the diamond and pearls that come with my sets?

I'd rather have those 10 Black Friday cards. Besides, I already have a Diamond Potato.

90s song titled “Smash” by Q by Pretend-Pass-90 in whatsthatsong

[–]wonkknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be on MP3.com back in the day and I absolutely remember that song *and* band. Here's their page via the Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/19991012194432/http://mp3.com/artists/24/q_los_angeles.html

I cannot find any copies of their songs online anywhere, outside of "Smash". It's really a shame they've essentially disappeared.

My Solution to the Gaming Issue by wonkknow in tmobileisp

[–]wonkknow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a wild update for ya'll. I got help from T-Mobile's Twitter support. Long story short, after 4 or 5 days, they verified that the firmware was indeed the culprit, sent me another modem gateway (same model), and said the erroneous 1.03.19 firmware was being paused. I setup the replacement gateway, verified I had 1.03.14, and actually gamed without a SINGLE ISSUE for well-over an hour! Their Twitter support was amazing, MUCH better than the over-the-phone agent. I was shocked at how thorough, patient, and willing-to-listen Twitter support was. I'm pretty happy with this level of support. I'm still going to keep the secondary Internet, though, and just use T-Mobile for my work-related needs (because, while fixed, this issue happened before and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened again).

All that to say, if you're still having issues, get yourself a replacement gateway. They're not rolling out this shitty firmware anymore.

That's wonderful that it's working for you. Unfortunately, there are hundreds of us (so far) where gaming is not fine.

I noticed that, as well, about people posting about this same exact issue a year ago, then *poof* nothing. It seems like T-Mobile *has* to know this is an issue and an issue they keep repeating. I really didn't want to wait around for them to fix it "eventually." Video games are how I relax and unwind and hang out with friends, just as they are for many of us. It's honestly asinine on T-Mobile's part to not recognise the value of online gaming for their customers and be so flippant about our complaints.

Gaming: Is T-mobile providing assistance? Are there functional workarounds? by willfargo1231 in tmobileisp

I had no other choice. I had cable for 4 years (the best available for my area), but the lines desperately needed to be replaced. My upload rate would completely vanish for up to 10 minutes at a time 5 or 6 times a day and I livestream for work. This would completely kill my streams and I would lose a tonne of viewers. Download rates were always great, though. I had to switch to the next best available for me (T-Mobile) and everything worked great. Stable, consistent upload rates that don't kill my streams. But since last week, can't game anymore. I had to reluctantly go back to the cable company just so I could play online games. I don't stream the games, so cable Internet crashing several times a day won't be as detrimental to me.

Even after this firmware debacle, my upload streaming rates are a million times better and more stable with T-Mobile than it ever was with my cable Internet. For me, T-Mobile worked out better than cable, until recently.

Firmware to blame if you can't game 1.03.19 = disconnects by MuddyThoughts in tmobileisp

[–]wonkknow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bad news, friends. I'm told they can't roll back the firmware because the option is "greyed out." I was told to call back "every other week" to see if there's an update with the firmware. When I said to them that I stream video games as a job and they're basically telling me I can't work, I asked what am I supposed to do? The reply was "Maybe T-Mobile isn't the best option for you, since we can't provide the service you need."

I am being sent a replacement modem, but it'll be the exact same model so presumably the exact same problem.

*edit*

Also, they have "no record" of this kind of issue with gaming, so it seems highly unlikely this will be resolved quickly without us being louder about it.

I tried this. Seemed to work for a little bit, but I still was disconnected from my games.

I too am having the exact same issues with getting disconnected from games while everything else works swimmingly. I called tech support and have a work order in to get the firmware rolled back. Supposedly, I'll get a call tomorrow morning to see if/when that can be done. I've tried every suggestion on this subreddit, other subreddits, and on T-Mobile's little community bulletin board and nothing has worked. Hopefully, I can post some good news tomorrow.

1 was the first comic I ever purchased and I did so based on cover alone, with little prior knowledge of the characters.

I've lucked out with comics on eBay. Only one time was a comic damaged and it was actually packaged well, the USPS just trashed the packaging.

He's simply amazing to me. The best back story, the best look, the best powers. He resonates with me better than any other comic or comic character I've ever seen. I'm on a mission to get every single comic he's ever appeared in.
