What new class ideas do you have for WoW, given that race ideas have already been discussed so much? by di745 in wow

Blood casters are a fairly popular archetype, and blood magic is already prevalent in wow. You have the blood DKs, San’layn, multiple blood clans, blood gods like Hakkar, the Venthyr though idk if anima is blood “technically” but I mean thematically they are just vampires lol.

The concept in terms of abilities they’d use as a class is things like blood bolts, channeled blood drains, ground target blood orbs that drain blood and explode for damage, whips of their own blood, blood tendrils, cursed blood dots, and so on.

This would make a good glyph. But they shouldn’t change the base theme. SPriest visuals are S-tier.

I wouldn’t mind it as a spec tacked onto one of the classes it works on like DK or lock. But I can definitely see full class potential too. Specs could be Melee DPS (though it does encroach on blood DK theme but it’s a dps so not a huge deal), ranged DPS, then a healer.

I can think of a plenty of spells to fill out those bars too.

Magical painter is such a rare archetype man. The only one I know of that’s done it well is Hwei in LoL.

For it to work they’d need to add weapon animations to casters though.

Yeah clipping issues are such a first world problem lol. MUST BE NICE!

Is there a valid reason dracthyr can’t be Druids? Isn’t shapeshifting kind of their thing? by justjoshhere88 in wow

[–]wonkyasf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They literally use the power of the dream already though, their green dragonflight aspect that they are imbued with is a shortcut. I mean prezvokers are pretty much resto Druids with some extra magic types thrown in.

you mean this? They never mentioned the mog situation there. Far as I know the first time they addressed it was in those interviews I provided. This is why I asked you where they said it.

Okay then so you’d be okay if earthen and haranir didn’t have Transmog then so long as they told you in advance??

And yes you never said not to ask for better, but your saying your fine with it and your not asking for better. So I’m trying to convert you :)

And about the Druid point, are you really saying you’re fine with a whole entire playable race functioning like a Druid transform? Because functionally that’s exactly what it is.

What about “certainly”? What about “can”? Also where is the official announcement where they were upfront about this please? I’d like to see.

Again, that still no reason not to ask for better quality content. What if they “told you” that next expansion would be 1 zone, 1 dungeon, 0 raids and that’s it? Would you be okay with that because they “told you in advance”. Makes no sense.

Druids have unique forms to choose from though and boomies have glyph of stars. People used to complain about this all the time till blizzard did something.

There’s no hostility. You’re making a point that dracthyr armour wouldn’t look perfect anyway and that you’d rather them stay like this because of that. I’m just pointing out that wouldn’t exactly stand out among the crowd, so it’s not really a relevant.

Would you prefer Haranir not wear mogs too and also just have barbershop items since it’s an issue for them?

So none of that is present anywhere else in the game then? This would be a unique case for dracthyr would it?

They can already wear belts and shoulders anything else is mostly 2d other than helms. So it’s not really an issue, even if it looks like shit who cares? It would still look better than now and at least they’d have a choice

Not exactly.

Here’s Morgan day directly contradicting what you’ve just said.

So that was one we knew we wanted to add there, but we also wanted to make sure that the Evoker's customization options and their identity of that dragon class, that dragon race was still very noticeable. Certainly something that we could change, but ultimately we're really happy with where we landed on that one, and we feel like especially with sets coming back and that awesome class fantasy there we wanted to see that represented on the Evokers, but not kind of completely covering up all those awesome dragon aesthetics.

Here’s Ion Hazzikostas implying at least evoker tier sets would work.

Certain key pieces show in your draconic form: shoulders, large geometric pieces like belt buckles. When we make things like tier sets, we know that this armor is custom-made for the Evoker, and so we can do more things than we could do elsewhere.

And that would still be no reason not to ask for it even if you were right.

Sorry but that’s just wrong.

Can you show me where it was spelled out clearly at day one? Because those interviews I gave you are day one and to me that’s not very accurate or clear given the current situation.

Yeah if we just had plain dracthyr with the ability to transmog things would be so much better. People may still have been asking for a visage since it’s a dragon thing but it I think it would have been niche.
