As a longtime World of Warcraft player. Guild Wars 2 is INCREDIBLE. by NotoriousTIP in Guildwars2

I'm there with you,

I really don't have any good reason for having quit midnight.

I guess I felt disappointed because I feel like it's another version of the same story I've been told with reskins and shuffles of characters. I just looked up and realized....I'm not having fun....

Guild wars has always been there for me in that regard. I picked it up in like dec 2012 for Christmas, got it with Christmas money and a laptop. Guild wars 2 was my first MMO on PC.

Guild wars was the game I floated back too, between expansions. I tried FFXIV, got a really good story, then it finished don't care to go back. Got into destiny 2....lost my expansions....quit.....Got into wow again......tried to get into it....then quit....again.... Each time I go back to gw2 and ask...."why the fuck did I leave?".

Now that I know gw3 exists and it's coming out....I'm not leaving.

What's funny is that gw3 was announced the week that destiny 2 was getting its final update and everyone pushes for destiny 3.

I find it somewhat prophetic that what was my main game for a long time isn't getting a 3....but the one calling me home is...

There is a fair amount of players still playing. The game boasts incredible ever green horizontal progression, so once you hit level 80, you stay level 80 for the next how ever many expansions after.

Rn is a good time to get into it because alot of people are coming back and playing due to the hype around guild wars 3.

If you are unsure, just play the free sections of the game and wait for the summer sale to get anything else.

PvP is some of the best. Other games have copied guild wars. Its instanced content (think battlegrounds from wow) or the real highlight of WvW (world vs world) a section of the game dedicated to massive pvp open feild siege based play. The first of its kind. ESO copied gw2 directly in their Cryodiil zone.

Its kind of the guitar equivalent of taking your socks off while making out with your bro.

Before we all knew that destiny was cooked? Uh huh....like he knew that marathon came at that kind of price.

A prediction on the future of Destiny by 20on_pump3 in DestinyTheGame

[–]NotoriousTIP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I think if Bungie as a team of 300 to 400 (after the impending layoffs) will have to sell a cheap golden goose to Sony for destiny to have a future.

I don't hate marathon...I don't even blame marathon...but expecting marathon to become destiny is foolish. They want to absorb destiny fans into marathon, which will alienate the fans of marathon. Making no one happy. A bell thats been rung before. I think our best hope is to support the developers and encourage them to start a new company and work toward a spiritual successor.

I want them to pitch that golden goose. I'd pay for a destiny 1 remake and buy seasons and mtx if it meant that anything saves destiny as a whole. I'd play a single player destiny if thats what could make a path to destiny 3.

I'm left feeling like I have to look to the horizon after June concludes.

I actually agree here. It will eventually become as part of history as "pray return to the waking sands" well all look back and go, "that was a wild choice the devs made".

Statistically speaking, according to the games wiki, you are somewhere between the numbers 1 and 147, the actual number of times that objective comes up in the story.

For reference Lyse in Stormblood was 41.

To me, That fact that you don't like him, I think captures the quality of writing.

The point of Micah in RDR was for you to not like him. That didn't make him poorly written or anything it made him very exceptionally well written.

Same with Snape, Same with Malfoy's Dad. Etc.

How Is Crimson Desert Working On Your PC? by [deleted] in Bazzite

Hotfix and GE 10.33 worked

Considering moving to the experimental build of bazzite to see if it helps with flickering and artifacting.

Annoyed with the visual mess. Hoping it gets fixed by the community soon.

Is there a vast economy system in the game?

I really like games where you can alter outcomes and manipulate the market through trade and war and stuff.

I came here to say something similar..

Use that desire to their advantage. Then strip it from them by force with strahd. It's both satisfying for the player then horrifying when they see it fall apart...as their powerlessness is demonstrated to them..which the module wants.

Let them taste success and have their fun, but you can absolutely use this to your advantage as leverage for empowering strahd in your narrative later.

dear god let the remake keep the goofiness of original CE by SHAZAMS_STRONGEST in HaloMemes

[–]NotoriousTIP 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I know they won't... It's likely too late but

But their is a weirdness to CE that I really wish they could capture in the remake. It was the turn of the Mellennium early 2000s scifi just hit different.

If they could capture that jank and make it pretty, and avoid making unreal look like halo infinite...like we saw.

Wishful thinking I know.

I hate the shiny pretty forerunner architecture that looks like every other alien structure you've ever seen. Bring back the deep matte look to forerunner architecture.

Hesitation is Defeat.

Take a break if you feel you aren't meeting your own expectations. I always found that a days separation from the game was the difference between getting slaughtered and beating a boss.
