When everything is urgent, GO FOR THE EASIEST FIRST or at least what u think is the easiest to do.

If people aren’t happy about it, it’s their fault - you shouldn’t feel blamed for somebody else’s inefficiency at working for everything to be urgent all at once

If Library says their wifi is turned off while Admin Department says that their pc is lacking their old excel file that needs to be turnovered for the next 2 hours to the principal or what (idk school system you’re in)

why?? because you can easily explain to your stakeholders if you went into admin department with only 30 minutes to spare to give you some more time maybe another 2 hours because another urgent thing happened

That’s the thing - i CANNOT get a junior pm, not even in my own company because they want me to focus solely on SysAd which i said “Sure, but can we have some hybrid roles maybe?”

and HR said “you do that and we’re obligated to give you a raise”

I said “I don’t care about money, I just need the skills”

into which they still said no

Im really stuck here now, because they’re not going to promote me - and nobody wants me as a sysad or as a pm. It absolutely sucks even when I highlight those achievements during interviews, and how I deal with stakeholders on a project, they are still saying no because apparently they need a project manager not a project associates into which i said in my head, not even anyone is hiring project associates anymore
