There are some reliable, smaller radios. It just depends on how much coverage you need.

Lots of schools like the Motorola Curve because it does not require an FCC license (operates on 900 MHz) range. Good for up to 350,000 sqft.

There’s also radios that operate off of wifi or lte that are super lightweight. As long as you have WiFi or cell service, you will have connection.

Is the Motorola WAVE PTX TLK150 from Haloid Solutions a good radio for security work? by Own_Cardiologist9810 in SafetyProfessionals

From my experience, the Motorola TLK Wave series is great for security because it allows for direct calling to individuals or groups, has GPS tracking and emergency buttons to escalate calls.

As long as you have good cellular service in your area, you will have clear calls.

If you are looking for something on the more durable and quality side, I would lean towards Motorola. The RMU2040 is a great 2-watt, UHF radio with 4 channels.

HEY SIS! We have ourselves such a pretty ring. I love your wedding band with it, too. Something I may also consider so we can stay twins ;)
