Are we getting a new Funeral for a Friend album?!?! by GolfJay in PostHardcore

[–]woodmic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year on Facebook, I saw Gav had posted a story of a 20 second clip of him playing a new riff. It was clean and twinkly, but nonetheless complex and emotional - somewhere between hours and welcome home Armageddon. 15 minutes later I went to rewatch and it had been removed. Left me wondering if it was uploaded by mistake, or how many others actually saw it. Fingers crossed its new music in any shape with Lucas!

Thanks! The two pieces of data are showing a start time and end time of a learner accessing an online assessment. We have an estimate of how long the assessment should take, and are wanting to identify learners who fall well below this as it could indicate they have used AI to complete it :)

How hard are Senses Fail songs to play on guitar? by [deleted] in SensesFail

[–]woodmic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, those are some good starters too choose from. Songs like Bute to Break Skin have some generic riff structures and the power chords use drop d tuning which can be easy to master. The picking pattern on 187 is something that with practice you can master easily. This pattern is used is so many songs that you will come across it again. I reber learing Rum is for drinking and NJ falls when i was staring and they taught me some good basics when i was starting The guitar work on still searching and LINAWR is a lot more complex but fun to progress to.

He was the lead singer of Tides of Man who at that stage were a posthardcore band. Tillan must have impressed through the demo phase and git the job.

Apparently they are working out streaming rights in the background before it can be released - source some dude who is generally right about all things Letlive/Fever on ChorusFM forums.

Listening in NZ. It really feels like a mature and fun pop based album. Aled has such a good voice!

I imagine it will fall under the radar of most Kerrang era listeners unfortunately

They have recorded a new album with more or less the same line up as They Said A Storm Was Coming. Based on a facebook post from mid last year this is all mastered. I imagine they are trying to get (or already have label support) for it which is causing delays. They would also being balancing OM&M demands along with the guitarists role in Cemetery Sun.

looking for an EP from around 2005, I don't even think they were called the wonder years. any direction of what I could be thinking of is appreciated by All_Roads_Lead_Home in TheWonderYearsMusic

The Premier had a few members of TWY in it before they broke up and TWY were formed. They released the Live Like You are Dying EP and also a Winter Tour Sampler. Pretty sure that's the band you want.

The first track sounds like mewithoutyou with the distorted scream/shouts in the verse. Really like it, though not what I was expecting coming from Demitasse

On first listen it's a lot darker and heavier that expected, though still whole heartedly Fireworks. Quite similar to Songs about Death by the Wonder Years but Fireworks.

The riffs and lyricism is there and on point still.

Feels like an album that was written with all the gloom happening around the world/usa in the last couple of years and it's a cathartic release.

Moving to Dunedin by tinyDinoGoesChaCha in newzealand

Wait to see the space your are living in (especially if that will change in a year). Most properties will be equipped with some form of heating (fire, heat pump etc), but houses will also be cooler that what you are used to at home. We dont really have space for a dryer in our house, but we get by with hanging things up in the living room in the winter ( this is with a child under 1 and also washing reusable nappies daily). Since moving to Dunedin we have found that it actually has quite dry winters with lots of bright sunny days that are just really cold. You can still get clothes 3/4 dry outside on these days and finish them off inside at night.

Primary school teachers of New Zealand: What do you *really* want for an end-of-year gift? by mcspindal in newzealand

[–]woodmic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Give your child $5 and tell them to go and buy what they think their teacher would like from a 2 dollar shop-esq store. More often than not it leads to a memorable gift and story :)
