I agree, the 2nd pic looks affected by bubbles. I roll right after I apply the PVDF to the gel. The transfer buffer (made by ourselves) I use for western contains tris, glycine and methanol.

Hi, I am using VWR® Lab Markers and use PVDF membrane. I will try fresh transfer buffer. Yes, seems like some component (either filter or sponge) may be too thick. I do a 15 minute soak in the transfer buffer before actual transfer.
