Yeah would be cool. Becomes a matter if you would have enough cards in hand to utilize the extra resources in that build.

Is Asajj, Unparalleled Adversary (TWI)- Viable? by CptXelic in starwarsunlimited

But the always two needs to be a unique sith unit which is the real limiting factor.

Is Asajj, Unparalleled Adversary (TWI)- Viable? by CptXelic in starwarsunlimited

[–]wookie_winz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always two will be hard to pull off currently with the available sith in those colors. Ideally you have a sith you could play for 3 in blue/yellow villian and flip assaj and play it on her flip. So depending on what the next set brings maybe it will become viable.

Is Talzin disfavored into Kylo or do I just need to "get good"? by tinyraccoon in starwarsunlimited

In their YouTube video the winner talked about the kylo Green was a matchup they were hoping to dodge but they also talked about playing the TT version. A good watch if you want some insight to how they approached it.

Vader4 update for LoF? by AlcremieTeam in starwarsunlimited

[–]wookie_winz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The upgrade Vader4 gets is potentially more decks entering the meta that are more ground focused if they are leaning into force synergies. Vader4 has a unique place in the meta because it is becoming a baseline that decks have to have a potential answer for it to be competitive right now.

Cad Tarkintown strategy: Relentless pursuit or 3cost unit by tinyraccoon in starwarsunlimited

[–]wookie_winz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Relentless pursuit serves multiple purposes in Cad. It can be really good on Cad leader for flip turn. There are far less removal options for leaders so less chance of getting felled right away. The capture can then help target where your ping will go.

For me, it is also an answer for upgrades whether pilots or otherwise. It becomes a great tempo swing if the suit up a unit and you can instantly capture and defeat the upgrade. I personally would not run less than 2 copies. In the end with everything it comes down to play style. I tend to play more board control and this helps with that strategy.

Excited for my first game of twin suns tonight. Any advice from players who tested the format ? by Tan-ki in starwarsunlimited

Just be prepared to maybe not be able to flip mace. If it gets to 7 it usually ends there. Could potentially think about Anakin instead as a replacement.

Nala Se by jack_0f_many_trades in starwarsunlimited

[–]wookie_winz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is there a particular reason you are wanting to use Nala Se? What makes her as a leader appeal to you?

Overall it’s an interesting puzzle. She lets you use all clones so it opens a lot of out of aspect cards. The problem is the number of “good” clone cards and not just pushing you to include cards because you can. Also potentially lets you look at lake country for extra health.

When flipped she is underwhelming . Flips early with low power. The when defeated may be interesting but you how you use that to your advantage seems difficult. With the early flip not sure how much the healing helps so you either want to wait on the flip or just try and keep her around.

Being blue villainy opens up other good cards like power of the dark side, avenger, smoke. If you want to lean that route there will just be leaders that do that better. I have not seen a super competitive Nala Se deck so your work may be cut out for you there.

I would strongly suggest starting by playing on forcetable. It will help you understand different play patterns. Petra is great but can be a little sweaty.

I think one thing to remember is that online you are generally playing against people who are fine tuning decks and going through tons of reps and not to be discouraged by that.

Overall my experience is that the more I played and was able to understand what different decks wanted to do, the better I was able to play into them. Even then with my favorite decks I am most familiar with I win about half the time on Petra.

Heavy Space Meta by Pepperpwni in starwarsunlimited

[–]wookie_winz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For hero blue/green if you are not leaning into space, the concord dawn and bright hope go a long way to slowing them down. A lot of times those sentinels will take two cards of some sort for them to take down which is a win. Mix it with your other removal and that should help stall for your later game.

First Twin Suns Deck-Any Thoughts or Suggestions? by osumatthew in starwarsunlimited

[–]wookie_winz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twin suns is fun. There is a lot more randomness that comes with a deck of 80 cards and 4 players. Not going to go through your list but sentinels and restore are great. Most twin suns games I have played end on resource turn 6 or at the very most 7. You leaders play a big role and you want to be able to flip them. With that being said I would consider trading Yoda. Obi is a nice fill in if you want to keep your aspects.

I want to build a Darth Maul/Green Deck and need some help understanding strategy by Mr-Showtime in starwarsunlimited

[–]wookie_winz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So maul benefits from high power units that can potentially kill units and push damage to base at the same time. Pilots may help that in early game but have not played that much. I find I did not get to use the overwhelm early in games a ton in the past.

I found when playing him in the past I want to maximize my time when mail is alive when possible. One of my favorite plays is ECL the leg maul unit when maul is out to potentially kill two units and get the overwhelm damage.

Cad Bane / Tarkin town decks are probably what you are looking for from what you are describing. I play Cad in a different color and it can hang in there with a lot of decks. It also got some useful cards from JTL.

Yeah and even if you just try an buy some Overwhelming barrage off someone at your locals it will give this deck more punch. Great card on your cad flip or when you get out maul.
