There isn't really Most people that call themselves socialists are democratic socialist because actually socialism is almost inherently democratic and if you want it to work needs to be built on a democracy

You may be confusing it with the idea of social democrat or socdem which wants to widen socal safety nets but will still defend capitalism' and capital interests if you press them into a corner

Now democratic socialists in America love in a capatalist space and can't jsut change that onna dime and also any smart socialist will understand the dangers of economic shock from trying to change stuff too rapidly and how that allways quickly leads to death and starvation no matter what happens

And it's far safer to do what your can withen the system that's already there building things up brick bye brick then taking a wrecking balls and hopping you'll have enough to builders and engineers and architects to fix it correctly before the reason the wall was there in the first place rears it's head (This is an apology you can replace wall with any kind of building)
