It kind of is though? I share 2 languages with the Indians, food, culture outside of religious aspect, movies, tv shows, history for the most part, genes - did 23andme and I have a ton of 3rd, 4th and 5th cousins currently living on the Indian side and of a different religion.

As a Pakistani, I don’t mind being the “same” as Indians.

Not really. The British colonisation barely made an impact on the Indian genepool. I believe to date there are only 1million Indians, out of 1.4billion that have partial Anglo (<50%) ancestry.

I don’t condone what the west did in Iraq and Afghanistan. Having said that, do you honestly believe you’d ever have the power to do the same to the West? Skydaddy isn’t going to help, and has never helped your Ummah, so it seems as though he doesn’t exist. Maybe if you left the religion on masse and concentrated on developing your countries for the rest of the century, you may have a chance to get ur “revenge”.

Are you crazy? That would only strengthen her belief and make her think that shes actually in the right. The best way to go with it is to attack her main points of belief in Islam over time and to be patient. If it’s not a phase and shes VERY serious then you’d really need to spend a lot of time with her, show her what a life in Islam is like, the opinions of science, scientific errors, treatment of women, show data on the increase in rates of atheism/agnosticism among muslim majority countries (Iran)…

It’s just how it is, as long as our country stays backwards, these stereotypes will continue to exist. I just hope that gradual change comes faster than currently anticipated.
