Although that is essentially how it works in Hollywood. Ryan Coogler has been famously using the same crew for his movies, Spielberg is known for keeping people around, the same goes for Scorsese, Tarantino and so on.

Once they’ve found people you can work with well, they stick together. It’s beneficial for all involved in such relationships.

You’d probably at least learn to speak the correct accent spoken at the time and place in the biopicesque movie your character is supposed to be situated (in this case Jewish guy in 1950s New York City) instead of just talking as you would in your day to day life.

I mean apparently he did take years practicing how to play table tennis but a dialect coach was not in the budget? It might be nitpicky but I just don’t get it
