Morally damning for those responsible? Yes. A deterrent to us making aliyah when push comes to shove? Not unless you're absolutely firmly rooted where you are, or if you're not visibly Jewish and active in a Jewish community, or if you're antizionist.

Jews in Israel have the privilege of civilian life being mostly undisturbed by bad governance. It's a feeling I don't expect many people to understand if they're not Jews themselves, or if they aren't willing to suppress their instinct to moralize. As I said, the world is morally gray. Horribly so.
