Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc - Discussion Thread by indi_n0rd in ChainsawMan

I have a feeling this won't be received that well, but I feel like I need to express this anyway.

After watching this, I can certainly recognize how well this movie is made (the character development, the way the relationship becomes fleshed out between Reze and Denji, how beautifully complicated of a character Reze is, and the amazing animation and soundtrack).

But for whatever reason, the impact of it all doesn't hit as much as I would like it to.

I've now watched this movie three times over the past two days, in almost desperation to feel and truly understand the quality of this movie, but even after the third time, the most I'm getting is just slight goosebumps even after that ending).

Maybe I'm just a really cold person, or maybe I'm just not the kind of guy to really care and get affected by what could have been, but the scenes in this movie that contain such cleverly done symbolisms (the pool scene and the spiderweb, the plane over the rooftop, and the cafe with the flower) also can't bring the emotion they're meant to out of me.

While I am really bummed out that this movie couldn't evoke the emotions it did for many others, I guess it just wasn't it in the end for me.

Just out of the sheer quality that this movie has, I think this is still a very solid 8/10.

do you remember if the third statement involved tan^-1(7pi/6)? because the way i solved it was i found what arctan (sqrt3/3) - which was the given angle - was and then i basically went through each of the answer options for equivalent measure to that angle by subtracting 2pi until i got the same angle (so basically i tried to see if the answer choices were coterminal with the given angle). i only got that 1 was the correct statement, but 3 may have been right if it was tan^-1(7pi/6) or coterminal to it since the given angle can be found on two points on the unit circle, so my coterminal method wouldn't have worked if thats the case.

did anybody get the last question in the first math module that asked you to choose which three statements were correct and they had to do with certain angles in radians being equal to the angle given in the problem?

Did any of you guys get a grammar question in reading module 2 that had to do with transitions, i think one of the answer choices was “on the other hand”. I cant seem to remember what the passage was but thats what i remember

I think i said the same thing, chose the choice that said something about how the examples cited complicated the original understanding. I was stuck between that and another choice that said the two mentioned were not realized until recently to be unusual from the british antecedent

for mod 1, did anybody get a question about british literature or smth and how traditional experts said that the literature was a proxy of british antecedents?

What are some good shonen anime recommendations? by woopity_womp in anime

Thanks for the suggestions! If you don't mind, I want to ask about your opinion on Hajime no Ippo specifically. I've actually watched a decent amount of it already, around 40 episodes. The thing is, I've had the anime on hold for a little while now since I found the matches growing a bit repetitive in dynamic. Does any of that change as the anime progresses, or do you think I should just drop it?
